As the resident part-time Visual Novel Shill, I have to recommend that anyone reading this should pick up the Fruitbat Factory bundle. I know that there's a perception that a lot of titles on itch.io are low-quality, and it certainly seems odd even for these times that a company would give out an entire bundle of good titles for free, but Fruitbat's legit. This package has a lot to offer - being that FF's a publisher rather than a developer, there's a good variety both in art style and genre, and most of them are pretty bite-sized, with SeaBed and Enigma probably being the only ones that'll cross the ten-hour mark for most readers.
If you want to get a better idea of the content and general reception of each title, I'll link their Steam (and VNDB) pages below, although as usual you should be warned that VNDB tags/screenshots and Steam reviews might contain spoilers.

So yeah, there's nothing bad enough that Steam reviewers derided any of them as trash, and even by the relatively harsh standards of VNDB ratings, Miniature Garden is the only title here that might be damned as mediocre. You've got nothing but your free time to lose by checking them out anyways.
If you find that you enjoy any of them and want to support the publisher or developers, you've got plenty of choices available - you can buy their games (and even re-buy these ones, if that's your thing) on Steam, Humble, or MangaGamer (potentially NSFW so no link), or you can (re)purchase SeaBed on the Switch (with two exclusive bonus scenes). It's not mandatory, of course, but it's a nice show of appreciation.

If you look on the Self-Isolation on a Budget itch link https://itch.io/c/759545/self-isolation-on-a-budget Pichon is listed as able to claim but there's a note saying itch has it still listed as costing $2.99. This is the case no matter what I try. Is this a case of waiting and hoping on the dev to correct it in the system, or is there anything someone else knows to get this game free that I've missed?

I didn't find any information about going on -100% sale. Something similar happenned to me with Super Hexagon (First come first served sale).

Thanks for the tip, but not everyone is a game hoarder.
There are games that are trash not worthy to claim due to being demos, tutorials (one of the past sales was a tutorial from a game maker) and first tries/experiments/prototypes in the game industry.
If you visit a white page with only letters you'll know with a +90% of certainty that it won't be good. You enter a page without a good design and you don't have any idea of what this author is selling, and your first though is I'm buying this? Nah.

Wvat: This will be the last update and I'm bad with farewells. It was fun managing this thread.
Recently I got my degree at university, so I simply don't have the time to take up on this as a hobby. I need to focus on getting a new job, sadly.
I won't close the thread for the time being so you can still post new findings, but I really hope another user will take over.
And I advice to not copy my format unless you have a really good script, it takes a lot of hours to update this thread when you get a lot of sales in Christmas, Valentine, Easter Egg, Summer, Halloween, Black Friday, etc. I recommend to make it simple ;)
