this timezone now i dont have time to managed grab bigfish free games anymore lol

Respectfully, I disagree. With the last codes, even if they lasted very little, still there some people here that managed to grab a game. Myself included (although not this time)

It appears that Big Fish Games have changed how the coupon system works.
On a now deleted Reddit post from the FreeGameFindings thread, a user which posted lots of coupons said that this is the end of the line for those codes. I was so close to completing the Nancy Drew collection. Yet so far away now...

They must have finally realized that giving games of choice for free was not going to do any good to their business, and should instead focus on giving away specific games decided by them, like every other storefront does.
I also enjoyed collecting many interesting games for free (although I almost never managed to do so in the past few months), but it wasn't really a wise choice from them. It was good for us while it lasted though, and I thank them for their generosity.

AAAAAand, I finally got it
I was lucky to see it, and I really rushed to buy one. I know it may be gone in seconds

what's the point in them making giveaway codes which last like 10 minutes - i mean i could never get their crappy system to work but still....

Thanks. I got it and got the game I wanted just before it expired. Let me add you to my Whitelist as thanks

The code isn't working, does it have any limitations?
Edit: figured it out after messing around a bit, it just doesn't work with the collector's edition version of a game. I got Empress of the Deep 3: Legacy of the Phoenix since that game has been missing from Steam for years and I already played the first two parts (which are on Steam for some odd reason).
Thanks :)

Does it only work 1 game at a time in the checkout? And you have to use a valid credit card? Trying to use some almost empty gift cards but even though it's $0.00 it still wants one with "enough" money on it I think
Comment has been collapsed.
and I wouldn't dare give big fish games payment info... not after the fraudulent > $100 charge without my account even being compromised a decade ago(years old paypal info on account was used)... and the non existent customer support(fortunately bank charge backs exist).
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh no :o It does seem to work now without needing a card but it needed billing address to click place order, I hope that's okay
Comment has been collapsed.
you need to use the code on each game separately.
add one game, use the coupon and end transaction, then continue with the next game.
you cannot use the coupon if you add more than 1 game to the basket
Comment has been collapsed.
All 25 games are free after using the Code. You may need to enter your credit card information for the first time. After you have received games, you can go to your account settings to see if the credit card information is still there, and you can delete it.
Code can only be used one game at a time, which means 25 times. The website response time is a bit slow, so you need to wait a second or two for the confirmation step, and make sure to check whether the price of the product is zero before confirming the place order.
Also, there are far more games that can be claimed for zero dollars than this list, but many other games cannot be claimed for free.

https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/mGYrZ/big-fish-games-100-off-coupons/search?page=6#VhjKS3I there was a new code recently. Apparently it's over now.
And if there were too many orders, I'm fully expecting all to be revoked

This is for the latest code I presume?
I understand (yet still not agree for various reasons - it isn't even really legal (in the EU anyway)) taking back purchases but deactivating accounts? What for exactly?
Comment has been collapsed.
From messages above "...but now you can get hundreds of games for free".
So obvious some people don't bought one game or a few and instead gone the hundreds of game route....
It looks that the company expect(ed) that people know when it is a glitch and using a glitch lead to a ban in many games. I think the company done now the same to punish the extreme greedy ones.
Maybe fresh created accounts bought hundreds of games and this accounts got sold.
Wouldn't be a surprise for me that this happened (and not only in a very low amount).

"It looks that the company expect(ed) that people know when it is a glitch and using a glitch lead to a ban in many games."
This is what annoys me tbh.. Like in every store, it's the store's responsibility to not fuck up.. Not the other way around
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes but come on, each one that use his brain for 2 seconds know that a code can't work in the way that you can buy hundreds of games or the involved company would take very heavy financial damage which could lead in many cases to bankruptcy.
And to exploit such stuff in the way of buying hundreds of games is ugly from the begin and people should have the self respect to not go such a route in this way.
But maybe i am "oldschool" with my believes (and demands) in the good side of people.

2 different issues :P
Morals is a tricky convo.. But because 1 thing isn't right, doesn't mean the other is :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Nope. Wrong prices etc on online stores follow the same rules as physical stores, aka "if you screw up, you pay", regardless of what random terms a store puts up
Comment has been collapsed.
ROTFL. Are you 10 years old? The court will quickly explain to you what it is to take advantage of someone else's mistake and unjustly enrich yourself. Both are crimes in my country. Quoting from one of such judgments in which the client demanded a tractor worth over 80,000 USD for 80 USD: the buyer was aware of the market value of such a tractor and that the price of 80 USD was an error on the seller's part.
The law even regulates the issue of finding a lost item and if you do not return it to the owner immediately after finding and determining the owner, not only will you not receive a reward for finding it, but you will be accused of misappropriation.
Comment has been collapsed.
USD is EU since when exactly?
It doesn't matter as it is considered false advertisment. On top of that, any visible prising mistake is a store's fault. It doesn't even matter if it's outrageous and if the price at the checkout is different than the shelf then they also get fined on top of having to sell it at this price. Dunno where you live, but it isn't EU.. And if it is EU then you have zero idea of your rights. Outrageous or no
Minor stuff in the end but there are valid reasons those laws exist and any website operating on EU must uphold EU laws. Not that I care for 2-3 games but if every little and big company could get away with it, it's bad in the long run
Comment has been collapsed.
Clearly false. If the buyer can be reasonably expected to know that the pricing is an error / too good to be true then the online vendor is not obligated to uphold the sale. Think about it for a minute. What if the online vendor deals with physical goods? If they make a far-reaching pricing error (fe a mistake happens during a mass price update process) are they expected to honour the sales and go bankrupt?
Comment has been collapsed.
Consumers have the right to clear and accurate information on the prices of goods and services so that you can compare prices and make informed choices. When the trader advertises a product/service for sale, the consumer is given “an invitation to treat”, which means that the consumer is invited to make an offer to buy. Once an offer is accepted, and consequently a binding contract is formed, the consumer can insist that the trader sells the goods/services for the price they were advertised at. However, if there is a genuine mistake on the part of the trader to display the correct price, the trader can claim that there is a defect in consent and the contract may be set aside, especially if the consumer should reasonably have known that the price displayed was the result of an error. This may well be an obvious, rare mistake, quickly acknowledged and rectified and, therefore, the consumer may not be entitled to benefit from the error. On the other hand, if the consumer has ordered in good faith, unaware of any error, he/she could look for arrangements, particularly may seek to enforce performance of the contract or even compensation (e.g. damages) when the actual loss can be accredited.
Under the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC), it is considered a misleading action to provide false or untruthful information that deceives or is likely to deceive the average consumer. It needs to be noted however that even in court, the judge would have to assess it on a case-by-case basis (taking into account all the relevant facts) in order to find a fair balance between giving relief and protecting commercial interests of the mistaken contracting party, taking into account the typical reaction of the average consumer in a given case, on the one hand, and the mistake/defect in consent on the other.
Comment has been collapsed.
I can't imagine you honestly believe you think you can use a "Get 1 free game" coupon 25 or 20 times in a row for that many games and think a judge will enforce your right to do so. Try it. You will not only lose, but likely incur court fees on top of that...
Comment has been collapsed.
Correct. This is exactly the law in my country. Prices in the online store do not constitute prices in accordance with the provisions of law and are only an offer for making a purchase proposal. Only after the store confirms the order is the contract concluded. There was already a case where one of the largest electronics stores, by mistake, during a sale, offered a TV for $15 when it should have been for $1,500. How many people wrote nonsense to them, demanded the goods, threatened to sue, and the store issued a statement that they would sue every a person who will not give up this "blackmail".

Don't know how things work with digital items but in terms of physical stores in the UK including when we were part of the EU;
Physical stores are allowed to refuse pricing errors at the tills. However they are supposed to withdraw the item/s until error it's fixed. If they fail to do this within a specified time or return withdrawn items without fixing it, then they are breaking the law. If something is purposfully misleading that's different.
Also if a price was clearly agreed upon beforehand a buisness may be allowed to demand the rest of the money. A till coming up with £0 by accident doesn't make something free. And if a customer signs a contract to buy something for £100 and they accidently send an invoice for £10, the seller can request the rest of the money for the agreed upon amount.
In digital stores they are allowed to cancel orders that were priced wrong if 1) they state this in their terms of service AND 2) that it is reasonable for a customer would be aware it was a mistake.
Again I don't know how this works with digital items, as it automatic and instantaneous they wouldn't be cancelling the order but revoking an item that has been delivered.

I prefer the steam version and using key shops/gg deals, however there are some exclusive to big fish not on steam. As far as pricing, if you join the big fish club there are sales such as 60-65% off (or sometimes buy 1 get 1 free), and then you get 15% additional back from what you paid for next purchases. The club has at least one free game per month of their choosing (not yours) and the 6.99 club price is fully credited as big fish points equal to 6.99 so its more like an obligation to buy 6.99 worth of games eventually within two years for each month you are a member rather than a cost. So they arent quite as expensive as they appear to be as a non member but if a game is on both steam and big fish and price is equal maybe the steam one would be the better option for some.

Well it seems they now banned accounts, it was their mistake. I get that it was an exploit and I am 100% with them reverting the games purchased with that code, but banning accounts? My account was opened in 2020, not even close to the date this code of theirs was used. I think they just aren't smart enough to program a reversal so their solution was to ban accounts.
Comment has been collapsed.
Same, I owned dozens of games from free codes given over the years and now my account is gone because I claimed 6 or 7 games with that last code. I was okay with the revoked games, but this is ridiculous.
Comment has been collapsed.
If you contact customer support about the ban, they tell you that it's the Trust and Safety team that does that and that the Trust and Safety team does not communicate directly with the customers. In other words, there is no legitimate way to address this.
I would still suggest flooding the customer support team with tickets.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, I sent them two tickets, the first one got the generic response that its the Trust and Safety Team. I did not get a reply on the other one yet, but doubt ill get anything different.
My wife has bought from them in the past, I will be making sure to never buy from them again.

Their HOGs being their biggest market is abosolutely their weirdest trend to me, apart from my own bias in the fact that genre is not my cup of tea. It just doesn't seem an appealing platform overall because of it (among other issues). So all that code exploiting just makes it even stranger, from that perspective.
But their rare (non-HOG) games were more desireable to me. In fact, last I lef it, I was collecting some of their slot machine games and I know a few of them were no longer listed, while they had since shut down their forums. There was also something of a mobile game promotion they also had, which also appears short-lived somehow. I also have a couple other rare games they were distributing, which I cannot find anywhere else somehow, so I would be upset if my account was banned after all my work collecting. Fortunately as I checked, I'm safe.
While there are perks to the fact that the games I have are essentially DRM-free, I'd still have to use their client one way or another to install it. I was lucky that it would still work in Windows XP if I wanted to install an XP game there. Otherwise, I'm not at all impressed witht hem as a platform.
They are at least staying afloat, unlike a couple other platforms I had accounts with. My games are gone with them, and that's not because my account was banned.
Comment has been collapsed.
essentially DRM-free, I'd still have to use their client one way or another to install it.
Are they really DRM free though? Sure, I heard the games run without the launcher. But that's after activating them through their launcher (which happens when installing.)
Comment has been collapsed.
the fact that the games I have are essentially DRM-free
AFAIK, the launcher is the only thing used to deliver the content. Not much different from GOG Galaxy. I have yet to run into a game that required the client to play. You'd only need the client to activate and download with it accessing your account for that purpose. Beyond that, you can pretty much run the games without the client being launched. It's a boon for my Win XP machine because then I can also play offline as well.
Comment has been collapsed.
Welp, I can no longer log into my account, seems like I got banned too. I really wasn't expecting to be banned considering that I've been using the codes posted here for years without issue, and I didn't even use that recent code so much, I think I only got the one game I wanted plus a few of the ones suggested by the poster.
I've never made any purchase so it's not that big of a loss but it sure sucks to lose the couple dozen games I got over the years, specially because I almost always got games that I didn't own on Steam so I actually lost access to them for good. I sent a message to support but I'm not really hopping for any sort of solution after reading what other users got as a response. This is the first time one of my gaming accounts gets banned and all I can say is that this experience sucks, what the heck am I supposed to do? Buy the games again? Fuck that!
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, Big Fish are not making Friends for sure, they will Lose more and more Users after this. Big Fish is dying if they act like that, that for sure.
Comment has been collapsed.
It would also suck if they go out of business tho, there's quite a few games that are currently only available in their store either because they were never sold anywhere else or because they disappeared from other stores over time, some old games simply can't be bought elsewhere.
Comment has been collapsed.
I must admit that if it comes to it I'll do the same and procure those old games from "questionable sources" specially the ones that aren't available anywhere else.
But I'm still dealing with their support, so maybe I can get this resolved. I also found an email from Big Fish from a few days ago, one that I completely fail to notice before today, saying that the games I got with that code where going to get removed from my account and that "some accounts have been deactivated" but at that point in time my account was still working fine. It's such a weird situation.
Comment has been collapsed.
i also cant get sign in "Sorry, we cannot log you into your account at this time. Please contact Customer Service for assistance and reference Error Code P5.", already send complaint, dont know if they will unlock and library still there, or no library
edit : i get reply
Hi Andri,
Thanks for getting in touch with us. I am Mark from Big Fish Games.
The Trust and Safety Team is a separate entity from Customer Support, so we must trust and abide by the decisions they make. Please note that Customer Support Team is the only team who is communicating with players directly.
Our account blocking system is irreversible, therefore we will not be able to lift the block for you.
I’d also recommend taking a look at our Terms of Use to ensure that you don’t ever have to worry about this sort of thing in the future: Terms of Use | Big Fish. (https://bigfishgames.com/us/en/company/terms.html)
Thanks,
Mark
and i reply his email :
Hi Mark,
May i know which part of rules so my account get banned?...
i also read "unless Big Fish has reversed that ban, in its sole discretion." on your terms of use, why you say "Our account blocking system is irreversible, therefore we will not be able to lift the block for you."?...
Comment has been collapsed.
I replied to them with the same thing about how their terms say the can be reversed but the email says it cant, also they updated the terms after the fact this happened, so its pretty crappy tactics. Let me know if they answer, cause I have not gotten a single response beside the automatic one you also got.
Comment has been collapsed.
i agree about "pretty crappy tactics", and i have thought that last code is just for "trap" to clean their customers.
Comment has been collapsed.
Did you get that reply right away or did it take some back and forth before they said that?
I'm asking because so far they've asked me for a screenshot and are supposedly still reviewing my request according to their last email. This "trust and safety team" hasn't been brought up at all despite that I also got the "error code P5" message when trying to log in.
Comment has been collapsed.
around 1 hour, and no reply anymore after i reply his email, so bye bye big fish library, i think this "error code P5" for account cant lift ban, even they can lift ban from their TOU
Comment has been collapsed.
i receive email from Mark, i guess they already get briefing. How to reply to customers which have error code P5. absolutely permanen banned.
edit : Mark just reply with mention trust and safety team lol,
Hi Andri,
Thanks for getting back in touch.
The Trust and Safety Team is separate from Customer Support, so we must respect and adhere to the decisions that they make. It is important to note that the Customer Support Team is not able to view the reason for the ban as that role is handled by our Trust and Safety Team.
Thanks,
Mark

I reviewed them on Trustpilot but they already have a 1.3 score, so they have been doing things wrong for years now. But review bombing them for such a crappy business move is the way to go.
Comment has been collapsed.
received an email about an hour ago, I did not log any ticket 🙃
We'd love to hear what you think of our customer service. Please take a moment to answer one simple question by clicking either link below:
How would you rate the support you received?
Good, I'm satisfied
Bad, I'm unsatisfied
Uhm yeah, you did such a swell job banning someone who got 3 games :3 👍
Comment has been collapsed.
Checked my mail and found a message from Big Fish's support telling me that they can't/won't lift the ban, just the same copy-pasted message that everyone else is receiving. All I was able to do was leaving a negative evaluation on their "how did we do" survey.
Right now my plan is to wait a week or so and try the whole thing again, it's not like I'm gonna lose anything by going through support again. But that's not very likely to work, and I do want my account back, anyone has any idea of how we can annoy them in a way that might work and that isn't just trolling so they can't say we're being disrespectful or whatever?
At times like this is when I wish I had any sort of presence online, I imagine if some influencer or youtuber threw their weight around they could make a difference by turning public opinion against Big Fish, because realistically none of us is capable of successfully escalating this into any sort of legal trouble that they can't simply brush under the rug.
Comment has been collapsed.
That’s some Humble Bundle kind of shit is going on, lol.
Comment has been collapsed.
I agree with you, but from everything I have read, including their past reviews on trustpilot, they don't seem to give a sh** about their customers, paying or otherwise.
They did not even bother with answering my two tickets, ill try again tomorrow and maybe just keep hassling them.
Comment has been collapsed.
I got the P5 error the first time I tried logging in too, but waited a few mins, tried again and it worked fine. I only redeemed 1 game during that last promotion though.
Comment has been collapsed.
Anyone have any success with customer service? Still only getting the cookie cutter response. I will not relent, that account was opened way before their mess and they banned me over their own mistake.
Comment has been collapsed.
Nah, tried a couple of times and got nowhere, so I gave up. I'd love to get my account, and games of course, back but at this point I pretty much got over it. At some point I realized that if after having that account for years I only ever played two of the games I owned there and never spent a cent because I only used free coupon codes then it wasn't that big of a loss at the end of the day. So I basically rationalized my way out being pissed off.
Comment has been collapsed.
I completely agree with you, I think I purchased maybe 3 games and the rest I had gotten through codes, I however had gotten most games for my son and daughter to play and had pretty much curated a nice little library for them, that's what bothers me but i am sure I can find all these games by other means anyway so that I do not give BigFish another cent ever.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, that sucks. I'd also probably be a lot more adamant about recovering my account if I had spent actual money on it, specially if it was something I shared with my family.
And definitely don't give any more money to BigFish if possible, they have demonstrated they don't deserve it after this fiasco. Kinda awkward that some games I own on Steam were published by them, so I probably have given them money in the past, albeit in a more indirect manner.
