Great idea! Also a little suggestion if you don't mind. Limit entries to people who had this game wishlisted before the Golden Joystick giveaway as well as the amount of games on their wishlist if you want something who really wants the game. If you just wanna do a giveaway, do it like you already do. :)

For someone with a lot of games wishlisted, yes maybe. This has been done before and really is in the hands of whoever wants to do it this way. Some agree, some don't.

Generally library size is used instead, since that's a better indicator of if someone'll be able to give the game their full attention.
Nevermind the truly dedicated, or ones prone to misusing wishlist, can just trim wishlist as needed anyway.
It's a silly premise anyway, as it'll include lazy people who haphazardly wishlist, and exclude people who add games more dedicatedly.
That doesn't mean it oughtn't be considered, but it's certainly not an ideal point of reference on its own.

It was a promotion for EU/UK subscribers to the GJ newsletter, so in fairness, actual EU entrants weren't typically much better qualified than non EU entrants were :P
(I didn't see anything to specifically exclude entry from EU entrants on the whole, but the actual promotion was only sent through the newsletter, and everyone else entered through a leak, regardless of their nationality.)

Honestly you probably wouldn't of gotten a key anyway. Most of us got a 3 month membership to PC Magazine and a 10% discount for their store. Very few people actually got the key. I for one did everything I was supposed to (even though I'm US it's a wishlisted game sue me) and still didn't get the key.

All right, I got a friend who didn't use his key for Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition.. He says he's not really interested in the game, and that if he wanted to play it, he would just pirate it. So, as I don't find it ethic to create a giveaway for it (and it would be troublesome for me if the winner doesn't want to activate his gift) I'll just give it away here. If you want it, just comment in this thread with a gif or an image of any kind. I'll put the names on a list and use a randomizer in 10hs. Also, europeans will have 5 entries, and I won't give the key to anyone who hasn't given away at least 1 game on this site.

At first, I checked everyone's profile to see if they had the game or not, and skipped a few people (except two allowed exceptions who took the time to explain their case beforehand). Then, I decided to stop checking everyone's profile and just reroll if the winner had the game already. Fortunately, this didn't happen. Also, if you didn't specify your country in neither your comment or your steam profile, you didn't get 5 entries.
