The price for Wii games seem to have gone as low as they are going to get, and seem to be slowly turning in the other direction, so I figure that now would be a good time for me to see if there are any gems that I missed. While I mainly used my Wii as a multiplayer thing (which was why i bought it in the first place, for couch multiplayer), there were some nice games on it that were single player focused, and those are mainly what I'm looking for (as I already have enough MP games on the system).
Anyway, this is what I have:
The Last Story
Epic Mickey 1 & 2
Battalion Wars 2
Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
Mad World
Resident Evil 4
Mario party 8
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
Muramasa The Demon Blade
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
Wii Play
Okami
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Super Paper Mario
Metroid Other M
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Tenchu Shadow Assassin
Link's Crossbow Training
Xenoblade Chronicles
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Wii Sports
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
New Super Mario Bros Wii
No more Heroes
Red Steel
Bully
Castlevania Judgement
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Mario Kart Wii
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Punch Out!!
Monster Hunter Tri
De Blob
Final fantasy Fables - Chocobo's Dungeon
Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Skies
Baroque

As you might be able to tell from the list, some of those games come from buying collections, and are games that are not really word buying on their own (I'm thinking of Link's Crossbow training (lacking the thingy that came with it), Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Red Steel and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, but those lots also netted me some nice games)
I've considered getting No More Heroes 2 & A Boy and his Blob, but both of those have become oddly expensive.

Obligatory GA, ended

If you like puzzle games, Zak and Wiki was great and had a good use for the motion controls. Also, it had lots of charm.

Man, Samurai Warrior 3 is a polarizing game. I looked up some reviews, and it seem to be a game that some absolutely love, and some absolutely hate

That actually happens with every other musou, it's a somewhat niche genre but at least it's about people beating the s*** each other like every hack'n slash that we love, I didn't include Sakura Wars So Long My Love because this could be really over the top in "japanese style" for many others.

Currently buying some Wii games myself since I kinda skipped the last gen. (blame WoW) so I'll be interested to see what your final list looks like. Also, I believe Red Steel was shit but the sequel was actually good if I remember things right.

P.S. If you don't mind sharing where you are buying these games, I would be interested to know since I don't mind buying bundled games from collectors looking to off load (look at my steam account to see proof of that XD).

Mainly Ebay and similar. As Sweden is quite small in terms of population size, you're probably more likely to find a good deal over here than in Canada, as there are fewer people who actually know how valuable things are, and thus things are more likely to slip through. In particular if there is a typo in the title, but there are enough cheap good cheap Wii games out there for you to be able to pick up a few.

Out of the ones I have, here are a couple of recommendations for titles to keep an eye out for:
Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
The Zelda games
Okami
Metroid Prime series
Super Paper Mario
Donkey Kong Country Returns
New Super Mario Bross Wii
Smash Bros & Mario Kart if you have people to play with
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (see if you can get the GC Fire Emblem as well, it's great)
Punch Out!!
Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Skies

And if you really like JRPGs, I guess Xenoblade, but I found the second half to drag too much for me to be able to really recommend it.

Red steel was not terrible, it was just nothing special either. If you find it for 2€ (which you can, the game is cheap as dirt), it's worth picking up, as it has some neat ideas.

And thus far, I've picked up Little King's Story, and keeping an eye out for Pandora's Tower, Zak & Wiki, Wario land, Fragile Dream & Another Code R, and if I can find them cheap enough (no idea of they are something I'll like, so I don't want to risk a lot of money) The Conduit, Red Steel 2, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Trauma Center, Samurai Warrior 3, and one of the Animal Crossing games (though I strongly suspect that I won't like Animal Crossing, they seem to be a bit grindy in nature)

  • Silent Hill Shattered Memories - absolutely brilliant game, unique, deep, mature and engaging psychological horror.
  • Fragile Dreams - one of my favourite games on Wii, incredibly atmospheric, melancholic and pretty creepy at times.
  • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers - despite being a spin-off it turned out to be one of the best fresh takes on FF games to date, don't miss it!

Can also recommend you Fatal Frame IV and Pandora's Tower, but I didn't play much of them. Looked very nice at first glance though.

If anyone is curious, after scouring the ebays of 4 different countries (checking of course to make sure that the sellers were willing to ship to Sweden), and about 55€, this is the haul I ended up with:
Samurai warriors 3
Red Steel 2
Another Code R
Prince of Persia: Rival Swords
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Fragile Dreams
Little Kings Story

I'll keep my eye out for more of the recommended games, those were just the ones I could find on the cheap.
