Please don't take the 24p in my account.
But on a serious note, I haven't been able to access anything apart from my library for a good few hours. Happy I haven't got my PayPal or CC linked to my account or I would be bricking it.
Has anyone here actually had anything bad happen to them because of this like Steam wallet funds going etc?

Good question. I have yet to see any real victim of this.

There is a hacker group called SkidNP and they promised to attack steam on christmas.(Their friends called Phantom Squad attacked Origin yesterday) Well they werent lying. DDoS-ed the steam servers and sent fake requests to the server and it responded back with what it had (thats why you saw random peoples account)

it is a steam anomaly... have you tried out putting the first letters of each language together to receive a secret message that tells you where Gaben-secret-base is? You have been chosen! And I am absolutely not stealing Interstellar's plot right now, no, :D

Oh, your steam accounts are visible for other persons...
Perhaps it is all just a dick move by Gaben himself?

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday! must be ehmm akward to have BD same day as Xmas, hope you atleast get double treatment of love and gifts!
Now, Steam is been around long enough to have gathered quite an impressive amount of money, now, if they just invest some of it on deserved safety and performance, instead of, for instance:
wow! I cannot believe how hard it was to find an actual GIF of this, something so simple and commonly known XD
*yeah it's broken, the person that did it didn't do a very good job, but believe it or not, it was the ONLY one animated I've found!
**last pic, I mean, if THEY can learn...... XD XD
So, yeah, did you found out that you could see it as IF you were logged in as another person? I couldn't because it always showed black screen for me, but friends told me they could, some even tried BUYING with their (estranger's account) money! Faith in humanity, lost, faith in Steam? I'll leave this one to you guys

It's a local saying here: to put the cat beside the milk (to place someone in temptation). ^ ^

Oh! I get it now! yeah I can relate, haha I guess you can see it that way, human nature..
I can swear I wouldn't had tried myself tho, too wary of the consequences of such bad actions, I follow my own code, and there is always consequences. Thanks for the clarification!

I just experienced a rather worrying anomaly in steam.
I was using my browser and just browsing the store page, when I noticed that my avatar had changed. Worried that I got hacked, I checked my profile, and found out that I was logged in as another user (someone from South Africa who I had never heard of). Went back to the store page and found myself logged out, but the storepage was in Finnish. Tried to switch back to English and then it was suddenly in Russian. I've been logged in on the steam client as well, and nothing changed there. Same avatar, no messages about someone trying to log in on my account or anything like that.
