Pretty much any MMO - most MMOs that i managed to play for longer than a month, had some unique features(like PLOT - which almost all MMOs lack) or, were so buggy that i kept laughing my ass off after discovering an immortality bug(extremely simple one at that - if a character of "Rogue" class wore any dagger and any shield, he started receiving 0-1 dmg from all monsters)

Hard to pinpoint one, since I played a ton of low-budget shareware/indie/casual level shit most of the internet never even heard of since they never got a digital release, only grocery store level CD bundle ones. (Then again, imagine the lowest Greenlight can offer, go a little below that, and you'll have an idea…)
Still, if I have to name some of the more expensive levels, probably the expansion pack of WarCraft 2, Beyond the Dark Portal (probably the single laziest and worst levels I ever saw in an RTS even to this day, and I played even those StarCraft and C&C rip-offs that started their life in the budget range), or Still Life 2. Oh, and Alan Wake's American Nightmare.

I understand where your coming from, especially considering all these games that are gonna have as much use as an AoL disc after servers get closed.
I enjoy twitch action myself, though mostly I play twin-stick shooter rogue-likes and such which have near infinite replay-ability.
Single-player is dying out for alot of AAA names though, and it's insulting they can't be bothered to put in any kind of solo play.

No, I got the joke, otherwise I would not have made such a generalized statement about a game type. I realize that you were talking about Life as in life itself, not the board game (which I've never actually played, this I don't have any real opinion on it).

Actually, if I'm completely honest, way back when, my cousin made a "game" in hypercard. it sucked. As long as you kept clicking, you'd go through to the next hypercard, and eventually finish the game.
admittedly, it was a lot better looking than the game I made using ascii art, but at least that one had some real gameplay elements to it

I dunno about mechanics but Chaos Wars will forever remain in my brain as the worst voice acted game I've ever had the pleasure of cringing so hard I turned into a black hole with.
The game itself is a pretty basic TBS but the Voice acting is just.... You just have to hear for yourself.
