Assassins Creed 3.

I have played some awful games, I played superman 64 and actuall saw the endings. I have played two worlds. I have played terrible games in my life but AC 3 takes the cake.

Broken, barely playable buggy from the big things (hopping over a fence can kill you) to the small (when you are a kid if you stealth kill an animal he acts like he has the hidden blades already). the story is awful and predictable, none of the characters behave in a realistic way. the story in the present can be figured out in about twenty minutes if that and the story in the past is entirely based off of stupidity and plot contrivance.

I think I agree with this.

Here's the thing: I really like the Assassin's Creed Franchise. I've liked it since the first game, even though that one is weak in terms of variety of gameplay. The Ezio trilogy are all great and Black Flag was my GOTY last year. AC3 is a pile of shit though. The only character I found worth a damn was Haytham. Connor was the most drab and boring character Ive ever had the misfortune of playing as. You know the entire plot within the first 2 hours of the game and some of the missions are just uninteresting. The game's map is huge but its mostly empty woods. The PC version is an unoptimized piece of garbage that even some super rigs have trouble with because its optimized so poorly. The setting was absolutely perfect for a really smart and really great game and they fucked it up so badly. That's why I think it may be the worst. Sure, games like Big Rigs and Superman 64 are beyond terrible, but AC3 was a high selling game with a huge promotion machine behind it and even got some good reviews, but it really is terrible.

That said, if someone absolutely wants to play AC3 (and if you enjoy the Desmond storyline you almost have to) then play it on console rather than PC if you can.

It's not a good game, that's for sure. By far the weakest of the series: boring, predictable, with a really bland main character, with game mechanics which are virtually useless, no sense of progression(you get all the weapons you'll ever need from the very beginning of the game), annoying and uninspired environments, etc. But it's not THAT bad. It's a mediocre game that wallows very heavily in its mediocrity. I really haven't encountered any of those bugs and glitches you were talking about. What version of the game did you play? Cause on the PC it worked just fine...at least for me.

I've played a lot of bad games. I intentionally go out of my way to try out bad games. Most of those infamously bad games are overrated - they're generally just boring or frustrating.

Superman 64 is the only video game that I would describe as soul-crushing. I have beaten Superman 64. Yes, on hard, because you have to play it on hard to see the ending. Yes, without level skip, which is how I know that the ending cutscene actually breaks if you play through the game legitimately. And in every single level, the game found new ways to be miserable. Getting stuck forever at the end of a long level and having to restart? Check. Puzzle elements falling through the floor without you realizing it? Check. Instant kills with no warning or obvious way to avoid them? Check. Glitches slingshotting you to random places in the level? Check. Bosses that count as plot triggers failing to spawn? Check. That ridiculous unintuitive maze with the worthless thermometer from Bebe's Kids? Check. Unexplained puzzles that don't kill you until several moves after you make a mistake? Check. And I could go on.

I will admit that I haven't played every bad game out there. But if all you know about Superman 64 is that you fly through rings and pick up cars, let me educate you on something. Those levels are the best ones. The stages where you fly through rings are reasonably functional, the ring hitboxes are very generous, and after a few failures, the game provides checkpoints. My usual reaction to the odd numbered levels was "Oh, thank god, a ring level. Finally." And that isn't sarcasm. The rest of the game is actually bad enough that at several points, I was begging for the next ring level. So if you haven't played Superman 64 all the way through, you probably don't know what a bad game is.

Dinner Date. I don't understand how pretentious artsy "games" like these are on Steam.

Also I was unfortunate enough to own Final Slam 2 (got it for free somewhere), but never played it and promptly asked Steam support to take it off my account.

Imagine Me. It only has 15 short room levels and a broken random generator that makes impossible levels and changes every time you do so you don't get second chance. And the graphics are basic, especially the main character, he looks like someone drew him in Paint in less than a minute.

Watch dogs, the game is only a story that you need to follow the rules, you can't decide anything in the history of the game, every action needs to be exactly as Ubisoft wanted. There is some side quests, but all them are identical each other, so there is no meaning to keep doing the same side questions all the time...
