Yes I felt the need to dig this thread up after playing the shittiest game ever (in its current state): NightCry
First time I asked for a refund because the game was just utter shit.

I even think that at this moment this game is even more shit than Ride to Hell: Retribution

I felt violated after playing this.

I'm glad I didnt Kickstart this and was able to get a refund.

I'm generally picky about what I play and I can often tell I'll hate a game before getting it. However I got this one free and I needed to check out how bad these free games are.
Ace of Words is goddamn awful. Beyond broken. And completely unplayable as of the last time I gave it a try.

The fact that it took over 7h to farm the cards didn't help too.

the first game was great. a little cliched here and there but two interesting interconnected murder mysteries in different time periods with great characters. it was only let down at the very end by a cliffhanger the present day killer escapes without their identity being revealed although the protagonist's boyfriend looks pretty suspicious
the second game kicks off with a quick nod to the investigation of the first before veering into a completely different story that barely involves the character from the first game and which doesn't even pretend not to be a cheap rip off of the Saw movies. instead of puzzles we get quick time events and a ridiculous limited inventory. every single 'puzzle' in the game, before I gave up on it, consisted of either finding a container to put one item inside so you could pick up a different one (because who would leave something just lying around on the floor when you can search for a suitably sized box. it's not like there's any reason to hurry while trying to escape from a serial killers torture dungeon), clicking fast enough to avoid dying or having to just guess at which liquid is poison because the developers decided trial and error save scumming was fun
oh and the cliffhanger? part way through the game there's a quick flashback scene in which the boyfriend confesses that he's the killer and fails at killing you

for me it was a terminator game. the reason it was bad is because i finished the game in 20 minute. even the movie was longer than that. i was really pissed off.
