Intended Solution Path:
- find the two hidden links in the OP (view source or tab through), one goes here, the other one goes here
- identify music in 2nd half of trailer as Ievan Polkka (versions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbAHzYQIf40, and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LfT5qJH2zc are used in the trailer)
- find memes that involve that music and a red haired girl, you should be able to narrow it down to some version of leek spin aka. loituma girl - like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wnE4vF9CQ4

Turns out, she did show up initially. They were trying to pick a movie and had also watched that trailer.
Apparently the first half of the trailer was fine, but the second half has left her in tears. She accused my friend of emotional abuse... He should know that "they used that to turn me into a meme when I was a kid!"
So she stormed out, left my friend open mouthed and confused... And here we are...
