RAM is ultra cheap nowadays - with very little money you can upgrade up to 8, 12 or ever 16 gb ;)

Yea I realize that but to the fact the Q6600 isn't the min anymore.

In other words, another poorly optimized PC port. Oh well, at least I'll be able to run it without any problems. Just a shame for people that are anticipating the game to max, but don't have any high end PCs and none of the consoles.

In other words a next gen game. This is probably more optimized than most console ports out there. Stop talking stupid.

It's terribly unoptimized. Why won't it run on my single core and Windows XP system? /s

There are hunderds of games that look better than this one and dont need this kind of specs. This has literally nothing to with it being next-gen or not, it has to be with Ubisoft and their gucking awful optimization.

Are you actually comparing a linear fps with an open world sandbox game?
True Watch dogs could look better with higher res textures, but since it can already utilize 2gb vram, and since most nvidia Cards doesn't have anymore, what would the point be? Remember all vids of Watch dogs so far are from consoles, not pc version. The textures was held back by the old consoles unfortunately.
As for processing power, Crysis 3 only had poor AI for a few enemies. Watch dogs not only have massively improved and individual AI for every person on the streets, putting every other sandbox game to shame. It also has a proper Wind simulation engine running on the cpu. The is no other game on the market atm (GTA5 included) that can do that WD can.
The new gen is here, huge imporvements will be made to all games, but mostly for us pc people. Ofc. minimum reqs will rise. Get over it or get a new console.

I plan on probably building a new system in a year or two personally, what I have now should at least hit the min in this, fine for me, just means I will replay it when I get a new system :-P.

Spec requirements are often over exaggerated anyways.

I bet it'll still run better than GTA IV tho.

Wow, haven't seen many games that demand 64-bit OS (no doubt due to memory usage). I just squeak by the recommended requirements, but I happened to have pre-ordered this game with a launch-day PS4 from Amazon (they were out of the plain launch day ones and I was interested in the game; although maybe I should have gone with an exclusive like "Knack" and picked this up on Steam). Oh well, perhaps it will help me meet "interesting" people on PSN (no idea why I quoted the word interesting, it just felt like it needed to be =p.

Edit: Typed "PS3" instead of "PS4"... it's like when a new year rolls around; takes a while to get used to it.

I was working the Ubi booth at EB Expo and I can't say the exact specs of the PC they were using, but on a GTX (unknown number) we were getting constant 60FPS at 1920x1080.

lololol, seems like all the components i have are the recommended for this game, sigh.

I wonder if Ultra is going to be that bad on my pc >_> Bioshock infinite uses about 50% cpu and it's the heaviest ultra game i have, i think.

i7 2600K, 8 GB RAM, Radeon HD 7770. I shouldn't have any trouble. But the 6 GB RAM minimum is a bit... alarming. Looks like I'll be needing to upgrade in the near future.

What is it a f@%#n galaxy simulator? I'm sure they just do this to sell hardware, if it was optimized as it should be it would run perfectly on half of that minimum required system. Just hate when they do this sh@$t on purpose, what has this game that can require minimum 6GB RAM? It looks exactly like AC games which were running just fine with 1/3 of that RAM, exactly what has changed that it has such unholly requirements?

It's a notebook what do you expect...mobile versions of hardware are never near the performance the name would make you think. Especially your GPU is nowhere near the performance of the "normal" 7000 series

Though I have to say, I am shocked its demanding a 64 bit OS. That sort of thing being a requirement is very, very rare.

They wrote 6GB of RAM as minimum requirements, how else do you expect them to support 32 bit OS which can only use up to 3.25GB of RAM?

I always have to giggle seeing i7 as recommended spec. An i7 is just a more expensive i5 with HT. And most games don't really make a good use of the HT features of the i7 and actually sometimes the HT feature even decreases the performance of games because of the mentioned lack of support.

"most games" this past generation, where games were made on a triple core and single core processor. Next gen requiring 8 threads is highly reasonable. Comparing the past to the future isn't logical.

Indeed. All i5's should have HP at minimum, and i7's should be hexa or octocore. The difference now is just silly. The fact that Intel still only makes quad cores for the consumer market is a joke. If there ever was a reason to abandon Intel for AMD, it would be gamers going for a more gaming oriented pc with AMD.
