Do you frequently make use of the "hide giveaways" button?

Thanks for the ride. I'm starting to use the hide function only now, but there's already some stuff that looks like its repeating forever, like those "trivia vault" games ;~;

I really don't understand the point of +1. Are those people treat steam like some sorta collection game?

I've gone the opposite way to achieving a similar goal: I only use the "wishlist" filter. That said, I have hidden some particularly garbage games when they show up as "developer" giveaways. Mostly stolen art hentai puzzles and Russian junk.
I wish we could turn off that pane entirely to be honest. I don't remember the last time I entered for a game on it.

Sorry it has already been removed from Steam.
But good news! Hentai Tentacle Zombie Milf Football 2049: Limited Edition (Puzzle 3D) is coming out soon!

I'm at 15,555 😅
figured it'd be a bit more with all the sexual puzzle games that I'm seeing lately

only 482, I only hide games/DLCs/bundles I already have

You probably already know this, but you can have it automatically hide games you already own (on the Steam account associated with SG, that is) via the settings.

Yes, but that does not include games that are not visible on steam API, and as far as I know, this "problem" applies to all DLCs

Yes, doesn't work if they're not in the Steam API-- and there are more and more of those games. As for DLC, turning on "Hide DLC if you're missing the base game" makes most DLC go away, at least for me.

23,583 hidden games. I spend more time hiding games on SG (and ignoring them on Steam) than anything else these days.

30,005 to be exact, games and DLCs that I have hidden on Steamgifts.
I hide a lot of giveaways because I really only enter for games I'm going to play and probably enjoy.
I'm really not interested in a lot of genres on Steam, and I find myself hiding more and more games.
Hidden object? No thanks. Visual novel? Nah. Hentai tentacle milf puzzle? No for the 100th time, seriously stop already.
Anyway, as I said last time, people like me hiding games is a good thing for some of you that want to add to your ever-growing collection. It's good that Steamgifts gives everyone the choice to pick and choose what they like, and whether you're just entering giveaways for +1 to your library, or you've had it wishlisted for months, or you just can't resist another open-world early access survival crafting game... go for it. Enjoy the games, enjoy entering and giving away something, because there's always someone who will appreciate winning. The giveaways keep on flowing thanks to tens of thousands of awesome Steamgifts members.
For newcomers, or those who forgot, you can find how many games you have hidden here:

And you can change your filter settings here:

2016: I had hidden over 9000! games, which was cause for my first celebration of this kind.
2019: I hit 20,000 and figured it was a good reason for another celebratory giveaway discussion thread.
2022: Yay, 30,000 fewer games clogging up my front page!
2025: Can I make it to 40,000? Probably, considering how many games are released each month.
So I guess you were hoping there might be some AAA giveaways in here? Sorry to disappoint. It really wouldn't be fitting, would it?
But if you're looking for some hot trash, I've got your covered! (Just kidding, there's some good ones in here too, some of which I own already)
All aboard...
