Would be better news, if I didn't own the entire C&C Anthology on Origin, but it's nice for people who don't have them. Because they are absolutely FANTASTIC RTS games, the best in history, if you ask me.

It is time to open the forgotten doors of origin once again...approaching the doors trying to open, but they wouldn't budge..(strange sounds behind the door), getting closer trying to hear better. Doors are blown away! At the same moment large tanks, followed by troops of solders are marching trough. The last thing heard was "We will bury them!"...

One thing to remedy crippling frame rate issues in Red Alert 2 is to add/change this line to RA2.ini (RA2MD.ini if you're playing Yuri's Revenge).
Under the [Video] heading.
VideoBackBuffer=no
AllowVRAMSidebar=no
This fix along with running RA2.exe/RA2MD.exe in compatibility mode for 98/ME, and enabling reduced colour mode (8bit, 256 colours) should result in a smooth RA2 experience on newer systems!
