I ordered a hard drive in December from Newegg and it shipped with FedEx and by mistake I just put down my post office box information and forgot to put down my home address and then they left it someone's door so I called them and they were really helpful and they told me if they can't get my package back they will buy what I had. But, they found it and I got it back in 2 days. Most of the time or all of the time they would replace it if something happened even if it's your mistake. I'm not worried with purchasing online, I think you can find better deals and find better things anyways than in stores.

Lost ... not really

But i remember ordering a shirt of Manchester United FC for my father for christmas few years ago ...

I ordered the thing late October , just to be sure i get it before christmass .... They gave me a tracking thingy and all , and it was expected to arrive arround 1st till 5th of December ...

It was about 15th when i was a bit to anxious and went to ask what is happening ... jokes on me the thing wasnt even sent yet as they ware out of stock currently ...

So im like but i need that for christmass .... No response untill february even tho i sent about 5 mails .

What i got then was , the shirt are in stock again now , so we are sending it ASAP ....

Again tracking number and stuff .

Nope ... its May no shirt yet .

So i contact them again over half year later ... sup with my shirt ...

Theyr rseponse was its stuck in the mail departament , but it will be sent ASAP ...

I got it on 27th of june .

Which was nice cause it was 5 days b4 my dads birthday ... so yeah the Xmas present turned into birthday one >.>

So yeah just dont order stuff from MU Official store >.<

As for not going myself and buying it ... its in UK and im in bulgaria ... kinda hard to go there to buy a shirt :D

I ordered dryer for my dog from ebay and the guy sent it through wnDirect and they stole my package saying that it got lost somewhere in transit. Than I read some opinions on them and there wasn't a single good one. But I got my money back from ebay buyer protection.
Just don't order a package that is suppose to be shipped through wnDirect.
I actually don't know how it is possibly to sent packages through them on ebay when they have so many bad reviews and "lost" parcels.

I ordered a box of 12 wines bottles from Italy (cheap wine, not the good stuff) and about 2 weeks later I rang them up and they said it has been delivered and showed me a scan of the signature, it clearly had a guys name Lee something but I do not know anyone by they name and I had it delivered to work where I and a few others were there at the time mentioned.

My co-workers did not steal it I know 100% for sure so it must have been the driver......they did send me another box but it did not arrive until after christmas this time so I had to buy more locally while waiting.

I do not buy items from internet. I cannot make sure my home have somebody open the door.

No, but I've had things delayed. Once when I ordered a thing from the UK, the packaged managed to take a 2-month detour into Italy...

what did you do? like you ordered a computer from amazon but the ups guy deliver to your house and you werent there and they left it at your door.

This is why I hate having things delivered to my door. I would much rather go to a pickup point than have to wait for someone to deliver something for me, which forces me to be home at certain hours. They don't just dump things at the door here at least. But they also don't tell you when they'll arrive, they'll just show up twice, and if you're not home, they'll call you and try to find a time that works for both you and the delivery person.

Well, I've had alot of bad experiences when it comes to the ineptitude of usps, but thankfully most companies will either refund or replace, but I have one tale I shall never forget.

I was building a new pc, I had to order every part except my case (I like my current case and shall keep it till, I get a phantom)
I ordered the majority of my parts off of Amazon, a couple from Newegg, well Amazon had my motherboard coming in next month, it came about 4 days after I ordered it, my parts from Newegg came in next, delivered to the wrong house (at this point in time I lived right next my sister and she got my package)
But then, my cpu/gpu/ram/ mouse (the other parts from Amazon) slated to arrive half way through the month, the date is here, I am pumped, it says it's delivered, I rush outside... find no package, I check with my sister, she doesn't have it, I look around my neighborhood, nothing, nothing at all. My soul is crushed.
I wait for the next week, nothing, 7 days it says it's delivered, well guess what, bull! It wasn't!
At this point I contact Amazon, tell them what's happened, they send me a replacement on everything, I get all the parts in the next two days (delivered to the wrong house, not my sister this time, a different neighbor)
I go about building my new pc finally, oof, I have to take it apart I forgot to order a new power supply.
I order a new one, wait the two days for shipment get it on time and to the right house (for once).
I put my pc together and enjoy the sweet sweet bliss that is gaming.

Two days later
My sister comes up to me with a big ole' package, it contained a brand new cpu/gpu/ram chips/mouse, turns out, after all this time the grand ole' usps decided to deliver my original package.... to a person, who lived on street no where near mine (it was like 10 minutes away from me and the street names aren't even similar, heck they didn't even have a name similar to mine) they came up to her, said this had been delivered to them today.

Then, thanks to our great mail system, I get to spend the next week trying sort this mess out with Amazon, in the end I managed to return all but my second cpu... turns out those can't be returned, who knew, but I did get a free i5.

no not like that, here couriers always call before delivery at home. had a couple of games that went missing during shipment tho. one was a copy of borderlands goty for ps3 ordered from zavvi and never arrived (was refunded), the other was final fantasy xiii, sent by me for an exchange (gran turismo 5). had to pay the guy.

Uhh... not sure how it works elsewhere, but in Italy packages are tracked and you have to sign a receipt, they can't simply leave the package wherever they want, so chances to simply lose it are almost non-existant O.o

I'm aware of some cases where the delivery guy made a false signature and kept or trashed the package, but that is considered a criminal offense (punished with incarceration, up to 3 years).

i ordered some mtg cards like 8-9 years ago and they never arrived... i made the mistake of not paying for tracking so i was left with nothing ._.
