As long as Ubisoft continue treating PC customers like garbage, how can they expect us to buy their games? on their god-aweful Uplay? Maybe it is the devs that doom the future of PC gaming.

Can you be more specific about why Ubisoft treat PC gamers like garbage?

You should ask yourself if you really are a PC gamer.

I am, I don't support some companies at all, but ubisoft is far away from that list. They are entitled to have their DRM, as every company does, and their is not as bad as it seems. You just need to login ONCE with each game you have on Uplay, after that you can play in offline mode (afaik with the games I own). They let you buy their games in other digital stores (steam for example), and they continue to release great games (in my opinion). The prices aren't that bad, and they do more than enough sales with their games.

Now, why should I hate Ubisoft? just because Uplay? Should I hate Rockstar because of the GFWL? or Valve because of STEAM? Most companies have their DRM, and it's not that that makes a company good or bad. Just my two cents.

I agree with you, they're really not that bad :) And as for pricing, I managed to pick up a couple of games from when they were doing that various games for £1 promotion, I got babel rising for free AND when my friend gave me a code for AC3 (which he got from buying a new GPU) they also let me pick another game from a list (picked Rayman Origins :D).

At the end of the day companies are companies and not your buddies however that doesn't mean you should hate them just because of what they are. Hate them for solid, realistic and structured reasons ;)

Now you can't hate people who made Rayman Origins :p

they delayed rayman legends from february to september (that's an 8 month wait) after it was finished so they could release it for xbox at the same time. what a sad story. rayman fans are sad

I would have done the same. Actually, I would sell the game to consoles 1 month before releasing it to the PC.

Yes, though I'm talking about the people who made the game, not the executives. As you probably know the developers had no choice in the matter and were upset about the delay. Since they crunched to make the initial date. I'm waiting for the PC version though, that ought to happen at some point.

No company is entitled to screw its customers with DRM. That's an absolutely horrible thing to say.

The fail lies with people who still buy games from a farce of a company like Ubisoft. If you didn't support their horrible business practices, they wouldn't be in business.

one benefit of the delay is that if console versions get horrible reviews, pc people can save their money and wait for it to go on sale.

Let's be optimistic for a moment. Maybe they're optimizing things to run on PC instead of releasing a direct port?

Nahhh, it's a overused franchise, they can give it some rest

Once again the PC version of a multiplatform game has taken a back seat during development. Why am I not surprised...

At least the PC is getting a release.
So what if the PC version gets put on the back-burner, MAYBE they found a bug and instead of just releasing it as is, they are working to fix it?

probably not, but hey.

"The latest press release we got from Ubisoft claims that the PC version has a TBA release date, which is the same with the one for PS4 and Xbox One. In other words, it seems that the PC version is based on the next-gen version of Assassin’s Creed IV, which is a good thing."

"Ubisoft revealed that Assassin’s Creed IV is being created on a high-end PC and then ported across to consoles. So, why is the PC version delayed if its the lead platform? Our guess is that Ubisoft wants to delay the PC version – that will be as good as the next-gen version – on purpose and in order to avoid hurting the sales of both the PS4 and the XBOne versions."

Damn Ubisoft, how ignorant of them! It's not confirmed, but plausible!

Off-topic: I'm in a state of shock to see 70 replies with none of them showing any indication that the poster had read the article. It just baffles me how a person could convince themselves that it's a good idea to post an uneducated opinion. Perhaps the saying "think before you speak" doesn't apply since we're actually typing.

"[...]created on a high-end PC and then ported across to consoles[...]"
luckiest day in my life :)

but if it's being created on pc first, why they don't release the game first?

Not much income from PC version, why would they make so much effort developing the game for it then?
