This guy knows what he's saying. Though I'd put it in the first place ex aequo with Xenogears, Chrono Cross and Torment.

  1. Persona 3 FES
  2. Fire Emblem Awakening
  3. Persona 4 (golden is probably better but I don't have a vita yet)
  4. Tales of Symphonia
  5. Ys Origin
Haven't played Suikoden or Xenogears/saga/blade yet but I heard they were pretty great.

When you ask about RPG, you really should define what it is.

And don't do that like PC Gamer, when they first say "RPG game means dialogues that matter and rich storytelling and rich companions" and then they put Diablo on their list - which has no dialogues, so-so storytelling (I guess it has nice story, but walls-of-monologues aren't the way to tell it) and no companions...

Unless you just want to see world on fire :)

Bioschock isnt only action game with rpg elements?

No RPG elements really, you don't level up or anything or make choices. Although some would say a slave obeys, a man chooses.

Kinda defeats the purpose. I choose Duke Nukem because playing balls on legs is the role I prefer.

Its kinda a pseudo-rpg cause you can explore a bit but its only for useful stuff and it ends up to a dead end but its still rpg like

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

The first game I ever played, in that franchise. No matter how good a game is nowadays, no matter how much I love a game, no game will ever come close to make me feel those emotions I felt while playing that game for the first time. Oblivion was meh, Skyrim was awesome, but Morrowind was/is/will always be the best.

I would go as far as to say that minus the graphics that Morrowind is still superior to both Oblivion and Skyrim.

Also the Morag Tong is 100x better than the shitty dark brotherhood.
