The initially had some games in the default coin packs, but now the only way to get games directly from coins appears to be by waiting for them to release special coin packs that directly give you a specific game. Any pack has the same small chance of dropping a very, very small amount of diamonds, so there's no reason to farm the basic packs for diamonds, either, as you'll still have the chance at getting those by purchasing the special coin packs.

While you can certainly burn excess coins on the basic coin packs just to get rid of them, the main appeal of the coin packs is in getting [mobile/browser game/MMO] exclusive drops. The site posts a news article whenever a new batch of those is dropped, so you'll readily be able to tell if the basic packs are offering anything you'd have interest in.

Generally, the main ways to get diamonds are to do the daily exploration clicks [+2 diamonds per day], purchase the diamond pack for 500 coins when it (rarely) drops [which generally gets you maybe 4~8 diamonds, and occasionally an easy-to-complete diamond-granting task], and to activate diamond-granting codes (which are generally posted in this thread, but short-duration codes apparently are also sometimes available through streams).

If you're accessing the site through the app (which is pretty frustrating to use, given its poor level of polish), you can also potentially complete offers for larger amounts of diamonds, but those can be time-consuming and unreliable in awarding completion. Following the site's stream can also give you "stream coins", which function similar to diamonds in allowing you to purchase diamond packs with them.

In fairness, the game is living up to its name well. :P

Coin thing is unrelated. They will ask people to enter !enter at one point. Out of those one is chosen to play the game. With 1000 watchers the chance to win is obviously very small.

It is difficult to protect against bots, and with them they are quickly snapped up with the subsequent cancellation of issuing codes. This can be bypassed only when sending each your own code, which is too expensive for resources.
