Text is a crappy medium to try and "reason" with them, or anything. I know being confronted and verbally attacked creates anxiety, but just try to get a state of mind that they are just words and of a person who has no control over you. Their words don't affect you if you REALLY think about it, it just feels bad because you subconsciously feel being violated. Just let the bad rubbish slide, put them on blacklist, and keep on being your own awesome self and find happiness where you may.

I've been called everything under the sun online for past 20 years or so, If you ignore them they soon notice they ain't gettin' the attention they desire and go away.
If someone calls you gay then just reply "It's not gay if ya don't push back" or "I'm not gay but my boyfriend is". Actually no. While still terrible that at least would have been somewhat understandable. Apparently the other guy (without any prior interaction) was so offended by OPs scarf and his terrible ratio that he not only blacklisted him but also found it necessary to insult him on his profile.

So today I just recieved a notification on my account. It was an insult on my profile from someone I've never dealt with in my whole life.
The guy said something like "it's a pleasure to add to my sg blacklist a fag like you". I'm pretty sure that I have never dealt with this guy before, and despite not considering homosexual as an offence, i know he said it with the intention of insulting and I feel like this kind of toxic behaviour should be someway punished.
Thing is that this never happened to me before so I have no idea of what I could do. I'm thinking of simply ignoring him but on the other side it someway bothers me. What would you do?

User explained himself, and now I'm more calm: he called me homosexual because of the picture I have and also because of my bad public/group ratio according to his ratio standards. Also he called me terrorist because of my scarf in the picture. I'm more calm now because I know him.
