or are they just install .exe files without a steam key?

You need to install the Twitch client on your computer and install the game, the most of them are DRM free, so you could copy/paste the folder and use in other computer. Sometimes they send some codes for platforms like origin or EPIC games, but normally the games are for their own launcher. Other tip, you can claim the games without install every month and the games keep it on your account.

My library is still full in the Twitch app. I don't see what's in your screenshot. Maybe they're doing a stage roll-out.

I'm missing a LOT of games in the Amazon app (124), versus the Twitch app (225). If they move to Amazon exclusively, I don't know if I'll get them back.

When I last checked while testing the amazon app months ago, I was "only" missing 5 games compared to twitch.
I've only just now managed to get the amazon app to load properly (wouldn't load my library at all yesterday) and at the very least those 5 are still missing.
No idea if any of the newer games since then also failed to "import" or maybe even other older games disappeared. Will do a full inventory when I have some time to kill.

When you go to Twitch's customer support system, open up a new case and select "Prime Gaming" as the category, you are automatically redirected to an amazon page that only provides canned answers to any subtopic you select and does not allow you to write a ticket.

I uninstalled two games I had installed - and I ended up with the same screen.
However by pressing F5 and/or switch to another tab (e.g. Music) and back to Games, sometimes I got the game list back. Or restart the client. I'm not exactly sure.
Sometimes just for seconds - sometimes permanently.

You don't lose your games but you have to login with each Amazon account (if you linked more than one to Twitch to redeem the games). I think they did it because many Twitch members were creating new Amazon accounts each month to redeem the games for free.

forcing to amazon app without warning is a shame. i used two amazon accounts throughout the years, so half of my games shall be lost.
last resort: if you still manage to run your twitch app then you can download any game you wish, even all of them, they are drm-free and can be played later.
edit: it turns out all my games were from the same account, so i do not have problems, actually i'm glad to get rid of the twitch app. still it's not nice to close up the games on twitch client without warning.

That's a good point. Anyone who still has access should probably download at least the games they absolutely don't wanna lose, just in case.
Especially since there are also plenty of people (myself included) for whom not all of the games they claimed on Twitch even show up in the amazon app.

Good idea for most of them, but one of them that I tried, Next Up Hero, did not work unless it was launched from the Twitch app. I suspected it might have something to do with the way that it handles the network play, since it requires an online connection even for its single player mode. I don't know if any of the other games have this problem.

I don't know how it works in India, but around here Amazon Prime doesn't even exist and I still have access to the "free" games, as Prime Video gives access to the paid version of Twitch, which is what's needed to get them.
You do have a Twitch account and it is linked to your Amazon account, right? Sorry if this a stupid question and you know all of this already. I'm just trying to help...

Is there any way to see or install games on the Twitch App? Really bothered with this change to force the Amazon app on users. I don't know if I will keep all the games if I used two or three accounts on my Twitch app

So after relentlessly engaging Twitch and Amazon about the missing games issue for over 3 weeks, after a long journey of being redirected from Twitch support to Amazon support, from the Amazon employee creating a ticket in Twitch Community Cases (that simply got closed without being resolved) to PMing them on Twitter and Facebook, culminating in a phone call with an actual tech guy...I finally got them to look into the missing games issue on the Amazon app as compared to the Twitch app I mentioned earlier.
The ones I could confirm were missing for me (Crossing Souls, Frozen Synapse, Hotline Miami(1), Majesty 2 Collection and The Messenger) have been restored (and are now listed at the top as the newest games lol), hopefully anyone else who was missing games should have them back as well.

I have all of them as the 1st ones, BUT Frozen Synapse, which is not present. At this point I don't know if i had it in the 1st moment, since the Twitch app doesn't include the games any more and I don't remind ever receiving confirmation emails...

As yderlig and HommeCrabe have pointed out earlier in the thread, you can try refreshing the Games tab of the Twitch App multiple times and sometimes it'll appear as it used to. It never worked for longer than a second or two for me when I tried (so not long enough to actually install anything), but that should still be enough to verify if you redeemed a game in the first place or not.

Nah. I expressly strained the point in every conversation I had with them that this was a universal problem affecting everyone, not just me.
I also checked back with some friends and they reported having their games restored as well.

I heard Amazon has issues syncronizing Twitch and its own launcher, Amazon Games. Is the game available on Amazon Games or is it missing there as well?

Amazon Prime Gaming was called Twitch Prime, but was rebranded in 2020
To get Amazon Prime Gaming monthly games, you need Amazon Prime and a Twitch account and link them.
Go to the Amazon Prime Gaming site for more information and instructions.
To download and play Amazon Prime Gaming Games, you need the Twitch Desktop App or Amazon games App.
Some people prefer the Twitch Desktop App (which will be discontinued).
Do not create giveaways for keys that are not for steam as this is not allowed as stated in the guidelines
