If it was marked with * , it means it's a bundled game

You can put it in a giveaway, it's the case of rule number 1.

you can put it in a giveaway, and if it is your first giveaway, you get the contributor full value upto $25 (this is how it was the last I checked, may have changed in the meantime).
this the formula used to calculate your contributor value:
Total Value = Non-Bundle Value + min(Bundle Value, Non-Bundle Value * 0.2)
So to answer your question directly and in short, yes you can make a giveaway for a game marked with a star.

What if I giveaway Mirror's Edge as a STEAM GIFT? I want it to be full CV,can't I just show to a MOD or something my inventory when I make the giveaway or a SCREENSHOT of my backpack history when I give the item/game to the winner? Or make/script an action for people who win games next to the "Received Gift? Y/N",such as: "What did you received? SteamGift/SteamKey" That way you either get full CV value or only that 20%....I don't think that would be hard IMO and it would probably satisfy/make happy alot of people who use this website.

yea the same is happening to me :/ that new way is so lame

As it has been stated many, MANY times, the mods here are VOLUNTEERS, that usually can't dedicate the whole day to checking screenshot for any possible bundled submission. Also, the question after the giveaway is closed can easily be abused by ill-intentioned people to inflate their CV with cheap keys (just before you ask, yes, there's people that abuse the "Received" question after winning a GA, it's a known fact and we just don't want more problems to add to that).

Lol, like. Everyone posts bundle games regardless of "contributor values". But games are games and a chance is a chance to get a awesome free game :'3
While i'm at it I'll thank everyone who gives away games through this website, thanks for giving everyone a chance to get game that they may highly enjoy.

Huntsman: The Orphanage is now a bundle game. That alone is -$30 from your CV total.
Comment has been collapsed.
not exactly - often game is added to list some time after bundle/promo starts, but all GAs created after promo started, not after it was added to bundle list will have their CV modified. Huntsman: The Orphanage was avaiable free on Amazon, but they gave keys later on. So basically any GA for the game have been bundled later on.

You need to give away some non-bundle games to get over $30 CV
Comment has been collapsed.
allgames you've given away are on Bundle List, so giving them alone will not get you any mopre than 30$CV. BUT this CV is not lost, it's just not counted. if you give away 20$ game that was not bundled now you will get 24$CV instead of 20$ :>

Hm, doing the math based on the details post, this is actually not right. It can be less then 20%. Typical problem in phrasing. Bundles can add a maximum of 20% of the nonbundles, which means that in the end they they are 20% of a total of 120% which "only" 1/6. For small values the $25 bonus offsets this but for large numbers it converges on 16.67%
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the way it is! If it were a strict "giveaways that might have originated from a bundle limited to 20% of your total value" then you would not receive ANY money before you make a non bundled gift. Doing the math, it only falls below 20% if you give away more then $600 in unbundled games...
Long story short, I like doing maths for no reason :-)

I'm not sure if that's ok to talk here about other resources, but I've submitted steam gifts (not some bundle keys) to a resource known as PB of total value of more than 50 bucks - just yesterday. I could've submitted them here, but after being DEDUCTED for SUBMITTING games I don't think that I should spend my money on something that isn't appreciated, sorry.

I am pretty sure the winner still appreciates your gifts. But that is not what you want. You want some value gain. And you have it. Just not the way you want it. Cause you want to maximize leeching by minimizing efforts. No sir, you don't want appreciation, you are doing buy ins(or you thought you did).
Protip: If you don't agree with that system you shouldn't use the site at all. Neither for creating, nor from entering giveaways.
But yeah, ppl like you usually just stop creating, they still enter though as it is to their benefit.

Apart from Ship, my games were not from any bundle, I actually bought all of them from Steam store. But because "everything" that is not a recent AAA title is a bundle game, I'm a dirty bundler peasant. Very friendly, motivating approach, indeed.

No, you become a "dirty bundler" the moment you start to complain that you should get more reward. Otherwise you are a bundler, which is perfectly fine. And no, you don't have to give AAA titles, not even AA titles. There are lots of price reductions everywhere all the time, small indie games, older games that don't cost much anymore...
But since this site cannot control where your games are coming from those games have to be counted as "appeared in a bundle".

And this is why people hate bundlers.
There's the I'm not rich but give what extras I have bundlers.
Then there's you, the screw this place, it's not giving me CV bundlers. Sad to say your kind tends to speak out more and cause bundlers to be viewed in a bad light.

All the games you gave away were bundled, there's no way it could have been at 80

We rolled out a few important updates to the site today.
The first major change is the way contributor values are calculated. In short, the update limits giveaways that might have originated from a bundle to 20% of your total value (Note: Giveaways created prior to a bundle always receive full value). Please review the threads from earlier in the week for the full details. Keep in mind, we'll continue to improve this system as time goes on.
There's no longer a restriction on what games can be given away, assuming they're not guest passes or beta keys. Anything found in the drop down menu when creating a giveaway is allowed. If you're gifting a game from a bundle, please review that bundle's terms of service to ensure you have permission to do so. If you believe a giveaway needs to be removed, please use the report button. There's no reason to post accusations in the comments, and users doing so may be suspended for inappropriate behavior. We'll review reported giveaways, and remove them if necessary. The new system will ensure contributor values are not overly inflated by bundle games.
Thanks to everyone in the community for all the feedback the past week, and I believe we created a system that's fair for everyone. It still leaves room for improvement, and there are a number of great suggestions in the previous thread we'll be exploring in the coming weeks.
