"We shipped a change earlier today to reduce the number of cases confirmation is required to list an item on the market. Items that typically sell for under $1.00 USD will no longer require confirmation when the list price is reasonably within the median price, but confirmation will still be required once many of those cheaper items are listed. Confirmation will still be required on all rare and valuable items.

We'll be watching for any problems with this change, and make adjustments if needed."

I just listed about 30 items without a problem. Finally, I don't have to keep holding on to all those 3-cent cards because getting rid of them is more trouble than it's worth. \o/

Meh. I got all excited and went and sold three cards that were listed as ten cents for a penny higher, and I still had to manually approve two of them. GG steam.

Still have to confirm :S

Oh that's cool. It should come in handy, since I don't sell that much expensive stuff.

Yeah, sure. I was able to list 3 booster packs, but the next ~30 items required confirmation. Well, maybe none of them fell into that mysterious interval (not too rare, not too frequent). None of the 30.

Put up 30 cards and a few didn't need confirmation.

Got another 1 item through today, with the second up requiring confirmation (and 15 days period). Definitely bugginess here. But still getting one item a day through is better than none?

To those only getting one item through: out of curiosity, are you using Steam Economy Enhancer? I don't know if it has anything to do with it or if it's just a coincidence, but I use it and I had no trouble yesterday or today, with a total of 40-ish items listed.

I'm not using that.

Surprising they are making it easier to sell cards a bit before Artifact gets released, must be a coincidence. :)

I'd say that's good. It'll save people a lot of time and effort. Plus it won't screw over those that don't have a phone that can run Steam on it.

Thanks for posting the info. Just put a card up for sale and it didn't ask for confirmation so I got a bit worried something was wrong, heh.

I was just trying this, the first card went on the market without asking for confirmation, and all the rest needed one. Thanks Valve. Good job :((

Same for me.. this way the change has pretty much zero value :/

Indeed. What were they thinking?

Apparently it's 1 per day.
Still sucks, but beats (for me) the 15 day wait period for not having their stupid mobile guard.

One per day?? That's pretty ridculous. I don't even...

For me one per day even only works if I haven't listed anything in the last 24ish hours at all (haven't tested it properly, might be a bit more or less). Therefore I haven't been able to list anything without a confirmation for the past 4 days. Its absolutely useless.

Just a tip, not sure if it works, but worth a try:

If you're trying to list cards from the same set, but getting the confirmation request after the first one, click on "view badge progress", select the "sell these cards on the market" option, then list them all at once. With this method, I was able to list 8 cards instantly, without any need for confirmation.

only works when Valve feels like playing nice. Otherwise, you get this:

Strange, I've just listed another 3 cards from a different set, still no confirmation request.

I see you don't have the mobile authenticator enabled, that could be an explanation. But you're probably right and it's just pure randomness.

It actually would make sense if this is tied to mobile authenticator though.
That would mean number of checks is tied to trustworthiness of the account, with extra authentication making it more trustworthy, thus requiring fewer checks.
