Have you experienced sickness from games?
Not strictly motion sickness, but Arkham Asylum fucked me up with how huge Batman is on the screen (taking up third of the screen, in a third-person game) and how little I see about the environment. Fixable with file edition though, to "move the camera backwards".

It happens to me with certain FPS games that have a lot of head bob (though FOV probably has an effect too) like Killzone 2, I never finished the campaign because of it, Frontline: fuels of war) but it has happened to me on third person games like Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines.

well since people are still chatting why not. ever since i started needing glasses ive noticed some games moving hurt them. while i dont get a sickness feeling its still annoying where i struggle to see anything and hurts my eyes and sometimes it can give me a headache. ive only noticed it with games that scroll to the side. ive never felt it with fps just side scrolling can effect it and sometimes makes me just want to give up watching it.

I'm perfectly fine playing FPS games, but exploration games like Gone Home and What Remains of Edith Finch do a number on me. I think it's due to the Field of View. My FoV in FPS games is usually 80-90, while the FoV used by Gone Home and Edith Finch looks closer to 60.
Virginia - with its low FoV, extreme motion bob, and extensive first person camera movement - would make me feel nauseous after 10-15 minutes.
I tried VR racing, and after 5-6 minutes I felt so nauseous that I had to go and lay down for the rest of the evening. I'm fine with normal VR games, like SuperHot or The Climb, but I can't handle racing in VR at all.
And while not tied to motion sickness, low texture pixelated 3D games, like Minecraft or the original Doom, give me a headache after a few minutes. I played Doom fine decades ago, but can't stomach it anymore. Minecraft is right out.

Just yesterday as I was trying to play Tomb Raider again, I had my worst case of motion sickness yet. In general, I get it about half of the time when I play that game, if not more often. It started quite recently, this year. Maybe because of the new games I've been playing, which look more real, but still fake enough to confuse the brain. Especially Tomb Raider has a lot of camera wobble and motion blur going on. Also, there are things like FOV and refresh rate to consider.
Other games guilty of that include Portal 2 and Fallout New Vegas.
I'm wondering, how common is it though. So vote away. Sorry for no Potato, But I realized that loving potatoes and having (or not having) motion sickness are not mutually exclusive.
Which games have made you ill? And is there anything special you have done about it? I'm considering buying travel-pills, not sure if they work, but they may.
Have a game that shouldn't make you sick, unless you're allergic to strategy.
