Yah, best bet is to just try and load fresh page at like 12:59CT or something and hope. The waiting room is pretty much a guarantee you're not gonna get a key.

you have to log in way before that. You get better chances when much less people(or bots lol) know about the giveaway time, as the first day or when they at least change it each day.

decided to try and activate it, product already owned. well it's either the base game or Shattered Bloodlines DLC, those are the only ones I already own.

Check your key and find out what game/DLC it is using this:

The key will be redeemed if you don't already own the game/DLC. it. If you don't have Dead by Daylight and your key is a DLC I think it will just tell you that you don't own the base game.
