As pretty much everyone else has said, both games belong in different genres.
In case you're asking which one you should play, I'd say that depends on a lot of factors (Which genre you like the most, if you think the game's community would affect your experience or not, and graphics.)

Personally I'd go for WoW. Although I've only had the chance to play the trial version and loved what I've seen.

League of Legends... I played the game for 5 years, and I think the community has become the most toxic I've ever taken part in (Pretty much every MOBA community I know is like that, sadly.). So, if people with negative attitudes can impact you heavily, you're probably better off avoiding the game and finding another game that doesn't revolve around competitive play.
