Time has come.
I turned one today.
Must do a giveaway.

The first year here granted me some great games, and I will share this love with you in a non-bundle way! (YAY! \o/)

I originally bought that for my future self. But, sometime after that Steam applied Region Block for my country, so it became one of my lost chances to gift someone worldwide... and I decided to do it! (YAY! \o/)²
Is it Madness? Actually it is... link

Best of luck for those who enter, and may the luckiest of the lucky ones win! I hope whoever does it enjoy the game.

I had no idea for the poll, therefore I will ask for your opinion. (Fell free to recommend any other not mentioned).

Happy Cake Day!

I'd say whichever one is $5 or less first. It really just depends on which type of games you enjoy. VC is great, if you're into that kind of tactical turn-based combat with a beautiful art-style and average story. Skyrim has a stupid amount of content, plus the expansions and mods. It really just depends on whether you're looking for something big and flashy or tight but solid.

So you played VC. mmm Isn't it basically a XCOM with anime graphics?

I'm played it on PS3, but yes. I'd say that you have more fluid control of the combat. You still have movement restrictions, but its not set up in a grid pattern. You don't get % to hit shown, but impact circles instead. Your characters will defensively fire on the enemy when they move without having to put them on guard. And the camera follows each person as they take their turn, instead of a overhead view. So, the details vary, but the overall game style is similar.

There are a handful of story characters that can't permanently die, but a company of other people to choose and level up that can die, if you can't evac them.

Overall, I really enjoyed it, and regretted selling my copy without finishing it. It was one of those situations where I got distracted with another game, so I figured I would trade my copy away while the price was high and re-buy it later when it came down. But then that trading website went defunct before I ever got it back. Fortunately, it came to STeam!

No worries. If you like that type of game, and it goes on sale for a good price (I bought it for $6.80 on Gamersgate in March), I'd say its worth it. The story is pretty much a typical anime story. Not too much of a distraction if that's not your thing (as its not mine), but the gameplay is fun, and you can always replay previous missions to grind up some more if need be. Plus, there's a number of one-off side battles.

Happy cakeday! ^^ A surprisingly hard poll. There were 3-4 games that were about equal for me.
