I am not finding a way to revert the link back to a key. Unless you can provide that info, you can take the risk of redeeming it or permit a reroll of the game
Based on the discussion you provided, the conclusion is HB is inconsistant on disabling accounts. For a long time I don't buy any bundles then when I buy game bundles the majority of games are redeemed and 1 or 2 are turned to links. This pattern has not caused me or anyone else I sent links a problem.

As of now all other giveaways have been redeemed without issue. I specified it it was an HB link for people who believe they can get the game. I made the link because HB should have seen I already had the game and it should never have given it to me. For a long time I have been proven wrong. Linking my steam account does not block getting a game I already had, but I still do it becaseu I do not want to show any signs that I redeemed a game I already had.
If the HB link was a concern you had, I don't know why you entered knowing that is what you were getting. At this point I see the request as closer to a scam because you specifically entered to get a key when its was always a link you were getting. You probably did the same tactic with others and you got what you wanted without ever thinking it was not going to go your way.
If you knew I was taking a risk why join me on it. Either trust me that you will get the game through the link or let someone else take the leap of faith

I requested a key as much to alert you to the risk of giving away Humble gift links. There have been many reports on SG and Reddit of folks having their HB accounts disabled due to trading, and that HB consider SG as trading. Of course we never know the full details of how those people have behaved to get their account disabled, but I just don't think it is worth the risk, and no longer use HB gift links. You of course can continue as you wish.
Thank you for the warning. I heard a lot about the issue so I try not to buy through HB as much as I can and up front at how the winner will receive the game. I feel I do enough to not be a target, but it may not be enough for any day HB may decide to disable my account which, to me, means they lost a customer they never cared to keep.
If the effort you took to redeem the game is not something you usually do, I am sorry that it cause you. To protect something you care a lot about may require some stress until it becomes a habit. I hope you continue to put this much effort in what you cherish safe.

You don't need to revert it back, you can just claim the gift yourself and then it gives you the key.
