I hate books destruction. I can't bring myself to throw books, even those I didn't like. I always find them another home, or give them away to a school or library. It's probably genetic, as my grandfather was going through the trash behind his local bookstores during WWII to save books...
Heh I got lots more about my grandpa and books. Kudos on giving away your books. And yeah I like e-readers too because I wouldn't have enough space and it's great for traveling (not to mention the eco-friendliness) but damn I love the feel and smell of a real book. Turning pages get me more relaxed than a massage ;)
