I was checking something else on the Indiegala store and noticed that the Amerzone remake was suspiciously cheap for a game that hasn't even released yet, so I went to look at IsThereAnyDeal to check and apparently it's 85% off at several places. This doesn't sound right for a game that doesn't even have a concrete release date on its Steam store page.

So yeah, do you think it's worth the risk buying it? I doubt these stores even have keys for the game yet, but maybe they do, who knows?

Looks like the old original version that is for sale

One of those ITAD links goes to the original legacy version and not the remake:

Ah, that makes more sense.

Both games have the same title, original and remake, thus the mix match

That's confusing.

Both versions share the name and the indiegala description says it is the 2001 version.

Only the trailer on the page is from the remake, possibly just a mistake. Almost 100% sure it is the 2001 version

If anyone buys it, let us know.

With the tendency to eliminate old games when their remake comes out, it is a good idea to buy it if you don't have it yet

I missed that it said 2001, I guess it's all a mix-up then.
Already have the original (although it says 1999) so not much use for me if that's the one in sale.

ITAD matches based on name, not appID, so it tends to make mistakes with discounts or bundle-count.

I wasn't aware of that but I guess it makes sense given that usually third party stores don't provide a link to the game's Steam page.
