Totally, had it been anyone else with some of those stories it would have bombed big time.
Midnight and the Family of Blood two-parter are my top two stories of his, although there are many more ;)

I mean, if the "bubble" existed outside of everything else, then it is completely plausible that the timestream is so different etc, that it works out. Considering house didn't even know that all the time lords were dead until Smith said sorry, no more coming.

Well!! River was in the TARDIS, remember what she kept repeating? "i'm sorry my love..." I was assuming she pressed a wrong button or something. BUT maybe it's something they haven't revealed yet, I didn't think about that possibility. They are known for long drawn out plots, so who knows.
With Gallifrey standing, I also assumed that they were all alive, but stuck in their own bubble, but I suppose that's also something they're leaving open for future plots. I haven't watched anything more recent than the last Christmas special, with Capaldi and Clara and the weird dream dudes.

Oh i'm sure!! I'm actually late to the game, the first ep I ever saw was xmas ep with the alive snowmen. I was drunk as heck at a party that was held in MY OWN house by my roommates. So...I had a lot to catch up on. (:
Anyway i haven't been keeping up on anything other than what's on netflix recently, but I'm going to search it out sometime this week 8D
