Will you be subscribing for the February Bundle?
I love to read the post-reveal comments. :p
Volume looks nice! But no monthly bundle so far made me want to buy the next.
Comment has been collapsed.
True! Exactly that. If I had a bit more to spend I would totally subscribe, at least for the GAs or trading as you said.
But the normal Humble Bundles and the weekly ones already get almost all my money. And once in a while some Bundle Stars new stuff before the price increase. :p
I love their website. The tier 1 bundles 90% of the times are incredibly good and sometimes I even grab the BTA.
For this one, Volume and Titan Souls, alone with Alien Isolation, for me already worth the bundle, without the others, and you can even trade the others or make GAs for it. So its always profit no matter how you look at it! And plus you can make other people happy!

Just a quick question, are games from these added to the "bundled" list?
Comment has been collapsed.
Generally they are not. However, since there's a sale on going as well a bundling based on price can happen.

That the first two bundles contained at least 2 AA titles besides the feature title and the latest two bundles have had 1 AA title max?
Comment has been collapsed.
So? This bundle even has a AAA title (Alien Isolation), 2 AA titles (Broken Age and Volume), and another two great very well received indie games (Titan Souls and Dropsy). Penarium for me is a bit not so great, but hey, it still has great ratings and I'm sure others like it very much.

While the first one contained two AAA titles, they were not very expensive games. The first one was actually not a great deal if you consider the effective discount, not compared to bundles at least, while later bundles have had a better effective discount for games that have not been discounted as deep in the pat/had a higher base price to begin with.

I only liked Volume from this bundle. Most people already had Alien Isolation and it was the sub reward so not talking about that game. Except those others look like regular sub 5$ bundle games. I already had Broken Age too, I think a lot of people got it from build your bundles from HB or from steam sale, so it is nothing new either.
Well you might be right, I just had high expectations from this bundle because of the Valentines Day probably, also already having some of the games really lowers the bundle's personal value.
PS: Forgot to mention if you are not using EU or NA steam store, 12$ feels like a lot more than it is..

Going by my friends list (167 people), saying that most people had Alien Isolation does not seem to be true. Even post-bundle it's still a highly sought after game with a lot of people having it wishlisted. And the game is not a subscription reward, it's part of the bundle proper. They changed the system, previously you would get a bonus game the first time you subscribed, nowadays they just reveal one of the games to entice you to buy it.

I am a bit confused because that is not the same with what is told in Rachel's threads, also just checked with the HB site and it says:
This Month's Early Unlock: "While you wait for the rest of the bundle, start playing right away! When you subscribe, you'll immediately receive a copy of ARK: Survival Evolved."
Except that I was a bit hesitant to post actually because you said pretty much what I think and why I think so about the value of the games in the February bundle.
Since those games are revealed before the release date, they have no surprise effect so I didn't want to talk about them actually. Looking at the rest of the bundle for instance only 14 of my friends have Titan Souls in their wishlist. Also its current price on nuuvem is about $1.5.
Some might think "But X is a much better game than Y, even if it is a cheap indie game.". Okay that is totally understandable, everyone has their own personal opinions on such things but we can't ignore the price. No matter how good the game is we are still using money to get them. In my opinion it is not possible to evaluate a bundle's worth without looking at the price history of the games in it. That could also explain why so many people already have those games in their library.

I just bought Dropsy from someone else's bundle and it was the Warm Damp Hug edition. Better wait for others to confirm that, but assuming it's the same for everyone, that should probably be mentioned in the OP.

That's a nice one ^^ only had Titan Souls, and all others except Aliens were on my wishlist. Managed to get Broken Age, Dropsy & Penarium for $4.50, just need to get Volume now ^^
btw the key for Dropsy is for the Warm Damp Hug Edition

How can you tell if you got the Warm Damp Hug Edition of Dropsy? The entry in my account just says Dropsy. Did you have to install it?
Comment has been collapsed.
It was mentioned in the activation window. You can check your licenses page to see if you have that edition or not.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, I only have the regular edition. That's not fair. I'll go complain to the appropriate authorities. :-)

This bundle wasn't too bad ^_^ Alien was one I definitely wanted, and the rest were games I've been interested in after hearing good things about them.

That may be the case ^^. I sign up for the December Monthly first time and since then I've been happy with all the bundles. To be honest, the last one had nothing that I was personally interested, but I've still managed to trade it and make a giveaways, so I it's all good. This one I like the most :)

It's a decent bundle looking at the quality of the games based on the reviews. Unfortunately for me Alien Isloation & Broken Age are the only games I'm really interested in playing; the rest will just add to my collection. So no complaints from me :)

Rachel, not everyone got the Warm Damp Hug Edition of Dropsy, so I would not use that name in the chart, but rather, you can add a note that some people received it.

Because I didn't get it, for one thing. Mine was just the regular edition. And getting the special edition wasn't advertised, either. I've contacted Humble support to see what's up.

I'm interested to see what they say. I'll be giving it away, but won't bother if I can't figure out which edition I have.

I regret not buying it as I want every single one of the games from the bundle (especially Alien Isolation) with the exception of already having bought Broken Age a week ago. :(

Regarding the Dropsy issue - some people received the Warm Damp Hug Edition, some the regular one - I went ahead and contacted HB support with the question: "What edition of Dropsy do I have?", explaining the matter.
Today I received an answer that might be interesting to others as well:
Hi there,
Thank you for getting in touch with us, and for bringing the issue to our attention! I'd like to apologize for the delay in responding to your request while we sorted things out.
The differences between Dropsy keys in the February Humble Monthly bundle were actually unintentional, so we're happy to upgrade your version for you. I went ahead and replaced the original key on your download page with the "Warm Damp Hug" edition.
I hope you enjoy the new, warmer, damper content! If you have any further questions or need anything else, just let me know and I'll be happy to help.
Happy gaming,
-Anna

interesting... I always got a very politely something between "I don't care" and "It is not my problem". :T
it must be because where I live... everything that relates my country and steam is already pretty fucked up when I arrived
(I discovered this on tremor games... we have serious resctrictions everywhere...)
