So this morning I woke up and and I had a few emails saying your order of A Primo backpack and A $200 bike lock thing has been ordered and will be shipped soon, and then a few minutes later I recieved another email about them being canceled by user. So I was alarmed and tried to log in to my account to find that the password had been changed. I try to change the password and after I do my password was already changed before I could even login. I then try to change it again, but I get the message your account has been temporarily disabled due to suspicious activity. I then unlocked my account and changed the password and saw my account has $291 on it. I then see an email that I had missed that said we are sorry that your orders of ... have not showed up, and we have issued a refund on your orders. I then tried to contact amazon about it and they apparently don't get what happened because they just removed my credit card from my account, and I tried to get them to take the money out of my account because it did not belong to me.

What do you think I should do?

Thanks for your input everyone

Maybe it's your own money they refunded? :P Just contact them to sort that out.

Work in more details with Amazon customer support. Secure your email address. Amazon's removing your credit card is a good move of them. They also will need time to sort things out, so maybe you should calm down and wait.

Regardless of what you should do about the money, you should probably consider turning on two-factor authentication on your account.

Also, consider using a password safe, like KeePass or LastPass. You'd only need to memorize the password to the password safe (or LastPass account), and the rest can be made completely random, making them much more secure.

Also, as faragona said, secure your email. If two-factor authentication is an option, turn that on. Change your email password.
