Umh Resident Evil and Sonic, maybe are ok
But I'm not really interested in turn-based, too "slow"

Hm, depends on what you like. There are a lot of interesting local coop games, like for instance:
Played them all and most of them are really good. But I think Obscure I is one of the best coop experiences I've made.

Speedrunners.
EDIT: Sorry, I didn't thought of coop. Well, you can never go wrong with Portal 2!

Edited it, thanks though, I didn't notice at first. Other good game that has splitscreen is Borderlands, and I think both of its predecesors as well.
EDIT: It is, I played through quite a lot of chambers with my cousin.

I've just checked on borderlands 2 and there is no local coop, only lan, I'm not really sure but i think that borderlands 1 has only lan too

MaxThunder is right, there is a mod which "hacks" local co-op to the Borderlands series. Basically what is does is that it runs two copies of the game at the same time. Different players can have their own saves and characters also so it's somewhat like the co-op on consoles. I've played Bl2 and BL: TPS like this with my brother and everything works out just fine. I think you need a controller for the other player though?

Dragon Ball Xenoverse has a local co-op you just have to get far enough story wise tp unlock it. then find it in game

Well has no "local coop" on steam store .-.
I would buy it ONLY for local coop, if it's local coop sucks or... is missing I would be pretty disappointed :C

Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) is a really cool platformer. Played it with the wife and she really enjoyed it :)

If you like Horror Co-op games, maybe you should be interested on Obscure and Obscure: The Aftermath

Full Mojo Rampage
Risk of Rain
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (One of our faves)
Shadow Puppeteer

Blood Knights

I've just discovered that my old joypad still works, I've played a bit of Magicka\Trine2, and now I'm looking for something else.
Oh and... seriously Dragon Ball Xenoverse has no local coop ? It's a bad joke, isn't it ?
