That is actually a very good question. I suppose the word "Steam" as in "Steamgifts" automatically implies a not ideal treatment of support tickets.

which is lots of games on steamgifts - so yay for us :) - who needs support when you have giveaways and games and people to converse with :) - actually don't answer that, I don't want to cringe at the possible numbers - giggle

They usually ask for money in order to answer. You can buy the steamgifts season pass too. C'est la vie, I guess. :P

Are those user report tickets? Because in that case:

  • number of user reports: 31621
  • number of staff members who can moderate them: 6
  • number of available staff members who can moderate them: 3

Knowing these numbers, is no mystery that such tickets are processed slowly.

If those numbers are true then we need to push CG to do a better job of recruiting free labor. You can't have nearly a million unique users and 3 moderators. This is not a two bit sham operation this is a professional business!!!! We need and deserve better service!!!!!!

It doesn't help when people submit useless tickets that clog up our queue, like reporting a moderator for no one responding to your ticket for 5 days.
