Why not post any information about the video link? Not everyone likes to blind click every link out there.

Also you might get "Rick Rolled" on yt links.

You can be rick-rolled even without clicking on youtube links.

If you are really worried about it, you can paste the link into a google search and it should tell you what it goes to.

Also, if anyone wants to mess with you, like Rick Rolling, they can simply say the link goes to something else. Pretty much no matter what is said by the person posting the link, if you are not running the link though some kind of service that can identify the page before you click it, you are still "blind clicking" the link and hoping they didn't lie.

That was a joke. I'll not get mad for being Rick Rolled. =D

But the info for link helps if you saw that clip already.

Why did my level decrease?

"1. Values are calculated based on the current USD prices of games in the Steam store. If a game lowers in price, the value of previously created giveaways will adjust accordingly, and this will be reflected on profiles and levels"

"2. Certain games on our site are flagged as "No Value" or "Reduced Value". This is done manually by our volunteers, and therefore there might be a delay before these values are assigned. For example, a game might be included in a bundle on January 10, 2018. If on January 13, 2018 we flag that game as "Reduced Value", with an effective date starting January 10, 2018 (the day the bundle started), then giveaways created between January 10-13, 2018 would have their value reduced accordingly."

first off - thanks for actually making giveaways - unlike the 100's of people who ask questions about levels to then do 0 about it when told - even if at the end of the day your leveling up only to enter higher level giveaways - that is still ok - like the others said games/dlc can go to 0 CV i really wish they would still count at the level when you gave them away but sadly to do something like this is not possible

if you are talking about cases where store price drops and with that your CV drops, I seriously doubt anyone who does not make giveaways in hundreds or thousands as you do, would actually encounter something like that. I haven't with my mere 172 GAs.... At least not in any major noticeable way.

As for cases when someone gives away a game after it has already been given away for free by the publishers, perfectly fine to remove the CV for those who abuse it.

i am not talking after it has been free i am talking about the case in the OP (unless it fits with them) but unless i am wrong if someone gave away a copy of Peaky Blinders in the past does that not still get reduced to 0 even if it still wasn't free at the time?

yeah i think so, once a game gets devalued to 0 all previous giveaways will lose CV either. but i am not 100% sure tho

Edit - since the peaky blinders is removed from store, I suppose the CV in general is 0 now for everyone. In these cases sure sucks for those who gave it away beforehand as well. But my point was about the games that are given away for free temporarily and since OP gave it away after the massive giveaway on fanatical, he still wouldn't have gotten any CV

In those cases I referenced (I mean I'm sure you know this, but I just want to make it clear in general for OP as well) - Only after the giveaway date. Anyone who gave it away before still receives whatever CV it gave beforehand.
Only case when someone "loses CV" is when they make a giveaway after the game has been given away for free and staff takes a bit more time to add it as "No CV game" (hence CV just gets corrected to the actual one and isn't really taken away). In Peaky Blinders case you can see the dates when you hover over the asterisks - If you gave away it before Nov 4, 2020, you got full CV. Between Nov4 and Yesterday, April 12 you got reduced CV and only those who give it after April 12 will receive no CV.

Only way everyone would lose CV would be if publishers drop the price or make it permanently free on Steam itself (since CV is calculated from the current full price if I'm not mistaken). But I don't think it really happens that often to make difference for those who don't make a looooot giveaways - that's what I wanted to point out.

Although this whole discussion is funny since levels in general don't make any difference anyway. most giveaways are lower level or group ones anyway and this obsession in getting levels is funny ;D

You can see what you theoretically got for each game here:

indeed. that explanation is fine and it gives more info than i've found in f.a.q. about this topic but however this system leaves a sort of frustration for all efforts that were made
