Update:

The Steam games included in the Easter Surprise are:
·         Life Is Strange - Episode 1
·         Just Cause Collection *
·         Hitman Absolution Elite Edition
·         Deus Ex Game of the Year Edition

*The Just Cause Collection will unlock both Just Cause and Just Cause 2 plus all DLC.

The vouchers are:
·         50% coupon for LCTOO
·         20% of Life Is Strange Season Pass

Emails will be sent out at 4PM GMT today.

Original post:
Similar to their Christmas surprise box of games. This one costs £3.99 and will have five games and a voucher for their store. Details here. The offer is only open to users in PAL territories according to the website.

One snippet of additional information which I got from the press release is that you will get four Steam codes which will redeem five games (one code redeems two), that might help in guessing two of the games?

Also, I am sure for their Christmas 2014 surprise they mentioned that the games had not been given away in their previous surprises. There is no mention this time, so there may be repeats from previous ones.

France is still included when saying "PAL". How would an American know or even care what the rest of the world has or does?
It's fair enough they know that most of Europe has this weird PAL thingy (most still think we don't have TVs in the first place)^^

Man, even India is in PAL region, and I can buy the bundle. It's open for me. I guess leode just needs to wait, because if the offer is open to me, it should be open for them as well.

almost sure that life is strange is one of the games

If that would be true it would be worth it, but do you think they'll include such a new game already?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Life is strange is episodic, so they could include just the first episode to get people to buy the rest.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, I suppose that could happen.

Usually their bundle are something like:
1 nice game + trash\very old stuff

With such minimum requirement Life is strange is the only "nice game" possible

Yep, I don't think I'll gamble on this one. I do want Life is Strange but I'd rather wait for a discount instead of "maybe" getting it from this surprise.

expect Deus Ex with those requirements. Just Cause 1 & 2. lol

Life is Strange is very unlikely, considering how new it is, and it‘s not fully released yet. Maybe just ep1 but not the full season.

Pretty sure they will include at least Episode 1 (:

Identical to Hitman: Absolution, so we might suspect that it will be inside.

My guess is that it also includes Just Cause collection or Deus Ex classic collection (Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Invisible war) But my money is on Just Cause.

Looked at the minimum system requirements on the page and it says you need Directx11 which is annoying because I can't get it.
Does anyone else know if these minimum system requirements is for the most demanding game?

yes, most likely, it was like that last time

I would assume the minimum requirements would be the minimum to play all of them but that would be a logical thing to do so you can't expect it.

I'm guessing it'll include Lara Croft and Temple of Osiris That one is the only Sqeenix game that is DX11 minimum.

Dont count on it. The christmas bundle had a 20% off code that's not valid for FF

This. After a couple of SE boxes and 2 Humble SE bundles I still waiting for a FF title to be bundled.
Hell, they didn't even discounted FF VII at 75% on Steam store yet!

The Last Remant has been given in the last Christmas suprise. I don't think Square Enix will regift it.

It was there in the Christmas pack. Of course there can (probably will) be repeats.
If you really want a Last Remnant, we can try a trade. Just do not force me to speak Norwegian, I have yet to learn it.

I already have pretty much all of their games, so I'll pass. Square Enix don't make bad games though, so you can't go wrong with preordering.. as long as you don't own the games obviously.

That's weird, I'm from Portugal and i can buy it just fine, and you can check the steam profile of the users who are claiming they bought it too, and see that they are from several different countries and it went fine o:

Portugal is a PAL region. Canada is a NTSC. Its a region locking thing that is based on television distribution system if I remember right.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That seems to be the case however from what I read here even PAL countries have issues(someone said Czech IP didn't let him buy it and in his steam profile it says that's his place of origin so I'm guessing no VPN)
Give it a few tries with countries in this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAL_region and if none work pester someone xD

Side-note: without VPN I can verify Greece gets this deal. Bought it just fine
