Let's Train: London Underground EARLY ACCESS

Courageous travelers get your early access pass here to enter through a backdoor station.

Everybody else will be invited once all the stations are polished and ready for day to day operations. No more early access pass (puzzle) will be required at that time.

Wait, what is this again?

The Let's Train team recreated the London Underground network of 11 lines and 270 stations as a community giveaway train network on Steamgifts. Every station (giveaway) is mapped to one of the lines, and links to the previous and next station, as well as to all other lines that stop in the same station (we have multiple GAs for stations that share multiple lines). That way we ended up with 380 giveaways for the complete London Underground network.

EARLY ACCESS WARNING

Note: some stations are not quite done yet, and you might have to find your way around blocked or not clearly marked stations through other routes. This Early Access underground network is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to travel the Underground in its current state, then you should wait to see if it progresses further in development. Also please do not comment on GAs that are under construction, so that travelers are guaranteed to see the temporary directions even if they use software that flips the order of comments.

When will you open for the public?

When we're ready for the public, i.e. all stations clearly marked with directions to the previous and next station. There will still be plenty of time to travel through the entire network.

How long will you be open for the public?

Until Saturday 17. October.

Thank you

Thanks all who commented on the original thread, and specifically a very big thank you to the group of people who worked so hard this week to make this happen: Nudiustertian, Momo1991, eeev, trentjaspar2, adam1224, Bloodcloak, josgba2002, Sinovera, SexyBudgie. Please consider them for a spot on your whitelist, even if only temporarily during this event!

Maybe it's not really flattering, but I'm so not surprised that you checked the 5-10 :D And it's so obvious from the solver's list that I made up the puzzle x)

Yay! Solved the ludicrously simple puzzle!

...you know, even though I didn't need to because I can access all stations already anyway. And even then I'm not entering any giveaways.

But puzzles, man!

Ha! Blacklisted. Also, I understand this is not the place for such a discussion, but what's the point of completely hide a giveaway when you're blacklisted, while it's visible when you're not even logged in?

Comment has been collapsed.

Didn't even know that, but that means that this problem doesn't really exist :D

Haha nice find. BTW the point of the blacklist is not to hide things from blacklisted people but to prevent them from entering the GA. Glad you can ride the train now, enjoy!

So I can't get the ticket because I'm not familiar with a London tube?
mehhh =d

The ticket is only for early access. Once all of the stations are fully operational, the full public launch will happen, and there will be no barriers.

Early Access, hm?
Will it take five years before you get out of early access and publish the full game on Steam?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well, "publish" is a big word. The plan was to put in minimal effort until the money stops rolling in, after which we'll just call whatever we have a finished product and give out free copies of it to promote our next Kickstarter campaign. I'm sure you'll agree that this is a pretty solid business model!

Or, you could always start selling thousands of dollars worth of DLC. Then the money would never stop >__>

It's just amazing, over 200 add-on. There are greedy people / companies, but this is just ... I have no words.

Well, at least the pricing model is up front. You know what you're getting into if you're desperate enough to spend money on it. Unlike Early Access, where you just have to hope for the best.

There's nothing you can't sell at so unfair a price that there isn't one sucker out there somewhere who will take you up on your offer. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to see if that $10 trading card I put up has been sold yet.

Permalink

Actually I do not think that is right, because you have no idea how many DLC will invent the creators of the given game.
But to be honest I do not have a look at things as relatively recently started playing again.
Previously, 6-7 years, was torn from this world - studying, working and sleeping.
But 7-8 years ago I do not remember there was such a model, then you bye the game and most to have some update. That was it - good times.

$5,192.61 Add all DLC to Cart

That... is some pristine bullshit right there.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Wait for the holiday sale! It might go as far as 75% off! At only $1298 you'd have to agree it would be an absolute steal.

If you want I can throw in a hidden giveaway with it's letters scattered around - then we have crafting!
And every hour I'll blacklist somebody - will it be you, or someone else? BAM! Surviving!
Now all we need is dinos, zombies and whatelse :)

Adult content is all the rage these days, we'll need to somehow incorporate that into a game about underground railroad systems.

So you're an adult.

Question 1
What's the cost of a monthly Travelcard for you covering all London Underground stations?

https://www.londontoolkit.com/briefing/travelcard.htm

Zone 1-6 / 1 Month / £225.10

"Wrong!"

Yeah, erm, I'm out.
