I don't like valve's new system myself, but as long as they don't try to make all mods requirement payment, there shouldn't be that much of a problem.

I think so far it has been clumsily handled by Steam and it has had a negative impact on the mod community. I'm hoping the worst of the problems will blow over and Steam won't go too far with this - but for the most part I'm reserving judgement at this time.

I made a train giveaway thing that was also a choose-your-own-adventure. The games have now been distributed and people seem to be happy, But the 'good ending' was Skyrim and some people were sad that they couldn't enter because of the free weekend. As this was down to very poor planning on my part I said I would try and make another Skyrim giveaway that they could enter. Which I have now done.
I wasn't sure what the fairest way to do it would be, but I decided the most entertaining (for me) would be to cunningly hide an extra option somewhere in the original adventure that led to more Skyrim. It is there now and it is level 2 the same as the original giveaway. Free weekend is now over, if anyone is still having trouble entering after that then apparently this is what to do.
And feel free to discuss paid Skyrim mods if you want - I don't think there are quite enough threads for that yet.
