I'm sadly unable to get a S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Clear Sky key, as it says only Polish users are eligible.

Is there something specific that has to be done? Because I just went to the page, clicked on the Clear Sky page, and it said it was only for Polish members, even once I had registered for an account.

Yes install some program like Hola unblocker, it's a VPN program that changes your IP address via a proxy or something like that, I don't know the details. You will get a Polish (if chosen for Polish) IP and thus you will be able to redeem the key(s). Afterwards don't forget to change back to normal settings, these proxies are slower than usual and it would be a waste of a good resource.w

Already registered to the forums, and I have my account signed in when I click on the page. Regardless of this, it still tells me that it's for Polish members only. I'd love to get the game, but I'd rather not resort to downloading a VPN program and jumping through IPs until I can find a Polish one.

Didn't know I could do that manually through my browser. It worked like a charm, thanks a bunch :D!

So are those Gamespy codes the CD keys on the back of the manual? Because Steam's not accepting them yet, just gave mine a shot. :P

Sweet that a few more games can be redeemed on GOG. Shame the ones I'd really want had no game keys to redeem. Like POD Gold.

Thanks. It worked on GoG but not steam. It was an old box copy.

So I'm wondering if I can activate my steam-keys on GOG.
Anyone with CoP on steam want to try this? I'll give my Clear Sky steam key to you to activate on GOG and you give me your CoP steam-key to activate on GOG. That way we can both play both games.

Basically yes, however the Clear sky code I have is not the one from the polish site, it's one I got when I bought it on steam.
And yes I know steam charges more for CoP but it's not like you lose anything, I can still play my CS via steam and you can play your CoP via steam. Only thing that changes is I can play CoP via GOG and you can play CS via GOG. It's a win-win no matter what, unless I am overlooking something

I agree, but that's not the point here since in such a trade I mentioned, the only thing you lose is the ability to activate said Steam key on GOG. Not the game itself. And what is the point of having a game both on GOG and Steam? Of course subjectively you could say it has benefits such as, now I don't need Steam anymore, it's DRM-free. yay. However I think most people here actually prefer to have it on Steam (atleast I do) but if I can give a person my steam-key for GOG and I receive his/hers steam-key for GOG the only thing you both lose is the ability to activate a game you already have (on a platform preferable to GOG, atleast for me that is.) on GOG and will continue to have. On the other side you both gain a game on GOG which you might not have on Steam (in my case). And perhaps some positive trade feedback. No one loses here.

CoP and CS have keys listed in the Steam client. Check the first reply in this thread for how to get your SoC key. They all shou;d work on GOG.

Also one of the other reclaimable games by GOG, Mount & Blade: With fire and sword;
I tried using my steam-key to activate it on GOG as well, doesn't work, so I wonder if anyone actually verified that their steam-key of STALKER properly activated on GOG.

If only Call of Pripyat would come out in a cheap bundle :/
For those that all ready own the gog games, it will NOT generate a gift on your account for trading later, so I hope they do not remove this feature in the future.
In the mean time, you can just hold onto the cd-keys.

Is it allowed to trade for cd keys you get from the steam version? Can it give issues if the same cd key is used by 2 different people? Like with multiplayer or such?

I'm just wondering, If I redeem key on gog, will I be able to redeem it on steam too? I'm only asking because it seems that some of you can redeem steam keys on gog.

What a nice idea: get the GOG version of a boxed PC game you own by simply entering your old key code there.
The buzzword is “reclaim”, and at the moment you can only do it with a handful of games – headlined by the popular S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. It also means you get the added GOG bonuses each game may or may not have, plus all the compatibility headaches taken away.
maker GSC Game World said today that your old Gamespy codes will also be redeemable on Steam as well.
Whether Steam will offer broader reclaim support beyond S.T.A.L.K.E.R. remains to be seen.
Meanwhile redeem your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. DRM-Free copy here-> http://www.gog.com/reclaim
