I doubt I would have done whatever you did. All I know about it is what I've read here, but I usually just ignore insults/rudeness. The only times I have been impaired were either from strong reactions to allergy medicine or medications after a surgery so that likely has a lot to do with why I would not have...called someone out in a rude manner.

Glad to see you back! To answer, well... I probably wouldn't have done what you did, mostly because I'm awkward and hate conflict, not because I think your reaction was wrong. I would have probably been privately upset and wandered off. But the dude implied that the games you were freely and generously handing out left and right weren't "good" enough, which is a gigantic dick move. What you did was stand your ground and make sure everybody knew the guy was an ungrateful jerk because you didn't want him dragging the community down. That said, you did knowingly violate a clear rule against calling out while doing so, so the temp ban was warranted for fairness sake.

I don't know what you did, but judging by this thread, you're totally not an asshole ;)

I don't know if my opinion means much, but I think your heart was in the right place. Sure, maybe the style of your delivery could have been different, but you weren't just calling someone out for being anti-social. You were taking a stand against behavior that would undermine the entire SG community and poison the goodwill we try so hard to foster were we to turn a blind eye to it.

Some things are worth defending.
