Head on over to your SG Steam stats page and scroll down to the bottom graph (Playtime per Genre). Hover over each of the categories and find the largest difference between your playtime (in red in my example) and the "average" (in grey).

In my case, I spend 12 percentiles more time in strategy games than the average SteamGifts user, then 8 percentiles
more in "Indie" games. Clearly I play a lot less action games than the average (-20 percentiles) - that's probably because I'm not very good at them! :D

No particular reason for this - just interested to see how people differ.

"Indie" and "Early Access" still aren't genres, no matter what Valve says about the matter.

That said, my outliers are in Adventure and RPG, both at 9% above the average. (I'm pretty sure RPG would be the winner, if I could find the time to properly sink my teeth into a few more, and play them exclusively for the 40-80 hours the bigger ones can take..)

If you don't see the connection between Grass Simulator, Rocket League and Undertale then I have nothing else to say :3

Forgot my mouse pointer in the middle, eh
Indie, Adventure, Casual, RPG. I'm curious how long these info date back, playing the "keep open" idle-clicker Voodoo Garden surely thrown it out of balance

Biggest difference is Adventure: me 25%, avg user 10%.
These genres are pretty silly though. Indie is a genre now? Maybe card idling should be a genre...

I play action games the most (still a bit less than average user) but I play much more in Adventure, Simulations and RPGs (ok, there's not much difference when it come to RPGs) than average user.

Pretty much all of them except for Action, Indie and MMO.

Apparently, Simulation is the winner though (which is kinda surprising as I don't really play simulators that much - as long as stuff like Stardew Valley doesn't count as one... and apparently it does).

Indie by 11%, then Adventure and RPG by 6%.
There's no puzzle genre though, that would probably win ^^

21 - 9 = 12% difference for Strategy games for me. I guess Civ V, Darkest Dungeon and XCOM: Enemy Unknown (and Dota 2 if it counts as "Strategy") probably contribute a lot to that. :D

Next is RPGs with 16 - 9 = 7%. Because Borderlands 2, Recettear, the King's Bounty games and the Hyperdimension Neptunia series. ^_^

I'd say your biggest (positive) difference would be RPGs, then Action, then Adventure, based on the chart you posted. Else we'd be talking about the games you played the least ;)

That's probably because indie is so poorly defined.

I fear nothing will change about my top 3 genres (Strategy, Sims, RPGs) anytime soon, with 8300h played. ;)
