EDIT: I've sent the key to the player! Thank you all for your help; I'm still new to SG, so I appreciate all of the information!

Hi all.

So, I had my first giveaway last week. It was exclusive to a group, so it was relatively small, but it still got over 200 entries. A player won, I sent the key, done. My second giveaway--which was also exclusive to the same group, Lootboy SG--just ended, and the same player who won my first giveaway won again.

Now, I really don't mean it to sound like I'm accusing this player of anything, because I'm not (although I do wish I had some of their luck!) :) However, I'm not sure what I should do. The player did win it, but I want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to win a game. I didn't see anything in the FAQ/guidelines, so... any suggestions?

exactly, a couple months back I was cleaning out my HB keys + bought some Fanatical bundles, and there was a guy, who won like 3 or 4 games :D First of all, lucky bastard :D but I wish I would have so much luck... anyway I wasnt even considering the request of a new winner... The only case when i request a new winner if the user has it already...

Your reroll request would be denied. To instigate a reroll, the user would need to be invalid for entry (no longer part of the group or of the right minimum level), would need to be suspended (meaning if you can find a non-activated game or multi-win they haven't previously been suspended for, you can link to that information within your reroll request), or would need to already own the game in question.

If the user hasn't opened themselves up to issue in the first place, then there's no basis for withholding a win from them. That is to say, by site rules you're obligated to send the game and, excepting for packages where they already own a majority of the content [and even there, it's expected you'd list any expectations related to that in the giveaway description while the giveaway is active], users are not allowed to reroll on winners at their own discretion.

If you're concerned with users winning too much, then blacklist winners and start each giveaway only after the previous one has ended. Or, create your own single-win group, and eject someone after they've won once.

Thanks for all of the information. I definitely won't do that. This player seems like a perfectly nice person and has followed all of the rules. I've already sent the key :)

Send the key. User was lucky. Others aren't (-6 gifts this month for me). Things work like that. In the long term, everyone should have more or less the same luck so no big deal.

Send the key. This is an accident, it happens.
A few years ago, before I deleted my old Steamgifts account, I had a funny case - I won the same game with a difference of 5 minutes. These were private and public giveaways in which there were many who entered, but it coincided.

I won the same game with a difference of 5 minutes.

Makes me recall the good old days when we could win 2, 3, or more copies of the same game at the exact same time (due to the combination of people favoring ending giveaways on-the-hour, and the fact that the system didn't force reroll duplicate wins at that time). :P
