Should I get Far Cry 5 now?
I’d say it’s absolutely worth it and further worth putting higher on your backlog list. It’s a very fun game and I thought the story was great. On the other hand it goes on sale pretty often so if you’re really not gonna get to it any time soon, you may as well wait until you have the time for it and then grab it the next sale around then. It’s not going anywhere 🙂

If you aren't planning on playing it for a year or two then use the coupon on something you would play soon. The odds are good you'll be able to pick it up in a bundle or for $5 or less a year or two out, no reason to get it now honestly.

Well you probably gonna find that price again after 2 years. Still if you don't have sth else to use the coupon i would say go for it. The game is quite enjoyable.

It's a great game if you don't mind it being a lot similar to FC3 and FC4 (but with improvements), so I'd say go for it
I might be a bit partial though, since I played every main Far Cry game 👀

All those ubi titles with that coupon are amazing deals that you propably wont find again except if they get bundled so think you should go for it.

You can, Ubi games get added to your Uplay lib no matter where you buy them. I can confirm that for Steam, with Rainbow 6 Siege, and for Epic, with The Division 2.

I know for games i've played in the past that required UPlay that I've bought through Steam I also needed Steam installed to launch them, that's the only reason I mentioned it. I'm not saying it's the case with all of them, it's just something that I've come across before.
maybe it doesn't affect MP games, but I know I had that issue with Watch_Dogs on Steam

I think that might be related to if it’s installed via steam or via uplay. If it’s installed via steam you need steam to run it. But if you add it to your uplay account and install via uplay, you shouldn’t need steam. Definitely correct me if your experience is different

If you bought the game from Steam, Uplay redirects you to install the game trough Steam app
Also for a game bought on Steam only Steam bought DLCs work

For $5, I'd say it's a steal, even if you don't intend to play immediately. Yes, all Far Cry games are similar but if you liked one, you're most likely to enjoy the other entries in the franchise. At least, that's my case. ;)
I bought it when it was on sale for $20 and didn't regret it one bit. There were annoying things, such as the forced kidnappings (I personally enjoy liberating outposts and doing side stuff first, instead of focusing on the main quests but in FC5, doing anything will make lieutenants notice you and passed a certain point, you get kidnapped and confront said lieutenant before resuming whatever you were doing.) but I've had plenty of fun overall.

well you get more money from quests and liberating outposts AFTER you liberated the area from the wanna-be villain. So just rush the mainquest in each region, and then get to the fun part - getting awarded even more money.
And, you know, more money, more BOOOM!

Hey, thanks for reminding me of that coupon, thought I used it, but apparently not! :D So... AWESOME! I am going to buy FC5, myself! :D
For that price, I am probably not going to find it even throughout the next year, unless it gets bundled, which I highly doubt.

For 32€ you can get Far Cry 5 Gold Edition + Far Cry New Dawn Deluxe Edition Bundle
If you buy from Epic and go to the library you have to connect your Uplay account to download the game, when you do that the game gets added to your Uplay account and you dont need Epic launcher anymore

I forgot the coupon aswell
so i grabbed the game already.
Have a question guys. If i download de game from epic, all the achievements will be registered on the uplay account?
or i must download the game from ubi?

Does matter where you download it, achievements for uplay will be unlocked anyway.

I saw that too, but I think that's an error on ITAD :/
It says "0% off", wich would mean the base price of the game was 7,99€ at that time.
And I tried to find that price in the price history graph but it wasn't there either.
According to gg.deals the lowest price was $12.70 on WinGameStore about 2 months ago :)

Unfortunately thats the same case with Europe but with Microsoft.

I'm surprised no one mentioned any of their Free Epic Games backlog 😅. I'd say get through all that and maybe consider purchasing some new games. In Accounting, we use the term First-In-First-Out (FIFO) when it comes to inventory. So let's apply that to games.

I think it's better to spend on some kind of exclusive from the Epic Store, such as Satisfactory or Journey to the Savage Planet. Games are awesome, but apart from the Epic Store you can’t buy yet, it’s possible the desire to play now will appear.

Thanks for the feedback!
I'm probably gonna skip it, because I wouldn't play it anytime soon :3
But it's a good deal if you want to play it soon, so you might want to check if you also still have that coupon :)
Maybe you guys can help me with the decision :)
So I still have that coupon from Epic wich they handed out during the Holiday sale. The one that gives 10€ discount on titles that are 14.99€ and above. Maybe you also have it still lying around? They are valid till May 1st.
Anyway I saw that they just put "Far Cry 5" on discount for 14.99€, so that would reduce the price to 4.99€ :)
And as far as I know you get the Ubisoft games bought on Epic also on Uplay, so that's nice.
Problem is, I don't plan to play the game in like the next 1-2 years...I still have a lot of sg wins to play and a lot of other interesting games sitting in my library :3
So what do you guys think? :)
