You start to do some repair work on the generator stripping it from the worn parts, you sneak some of them into your backpack for your collection of lead pirates.
Done the stripping work you open the maintenance chest and find inside it an auxiliary component, they never mounted it on the generator, because it didn’t work or because it wasn’t safe? Nobody ever told you that.
