Yeah, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch and Half-Life Deathmatch:Source are now part of the orange box, so they got added to the library of everyone who owns the orange box (or any other bundle that now includes them)..

You are correct. "Half-Life Deathmatch: Source" is now in my library.
It does not show under "Licenses and product key activations" , so it must have been added to either the Half-Life Anthologie or the Orange Box or Half-Life 2

Yes, they have the same date as your orange box purchase date.

I wonder if this also applies to GMG. I was hoping to buy it for a giveaway if it ever gets to $25 again (which is about $20 with their regular coupons).

No, it wouldn't apply to any retailers outside of Steam. This is a new Steam-specific feature.

Yeah, I got the pack a year or two ago for $20 with one of those GMG coupons. I'll buy another as a gift if it ever comes back.
