I can't understand how CV works...

I joined yesterday and thought i'd start a GA with a game i had an extra copy of.
Now when i try to join a GA that has a CV requirement (which i though was giveaways vs wins) it says i have 0
Can someone explain please ?

edit 1 :Even though i still don't know whats happening, thanks to everybody for being so quick in trying to help me :D
edit 2: I had to resync sgtools, thanks to all for your quick responses and your willingness to help !

You are now in level 1, you can enter GAs that require up to level 1 to enter.

You have to succesfully finished your ga thus the one receiving the gift, has to mark it as received. And at that point you will be rewarded with your cv.

On my end it says you've got CV level 1. If you don't see it that way, just wait a while until it registers.

Are you sure you didn't just have to wait for the winner to mark it as received? CV is awarded only then.

Oh, you trying to enter an SGTools giveaway? Then yes, resync as was suggested. SGTools uses a cache for user data, not real-time monitoring.
