As opposed to pepperoncini (Peperoni is actually Italian for chili pepper, there is a specific kind that it's correct to use the word for, but it's generally just a generic name for it, often the types that are not very hot). It's not uncommon for the name "pepperoni" to be used for pickled chili pepper in other parts of Europe, though going by its original meaning, it does not have to be pickled.

I've eaten those, and have some in my fridge right now. I just never thought of calling pepperoni anything other than what it is, that's interesting.

Ask the Italians what they think it is, it's their word ;) The sausage that we know as Pepperoni is from around 1920, so it's a comparatively recent thing.

The sausage-based pepperoni is an American invention, and I say, good for us:P It's a great topping for pizza made by Italian-Americans, a good example of how the diversity of immigrants in this country improves overall quality of life ;).

I think it was nearly 5 years ago since I last watched anything anime related, and even back then it was just very sporadic, but I do remember enjoying Serial Experiments Lain. I also liked some of the concepts in Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex, though I did not enjoy the show itself.
Also, broccoli works great on pizza!

I think you might like Hunter x Hunter. I like Hunter x Hunter as well as Space Brothers, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Parasyte. There's also Durarara, which a lot of people like (I thought it was decent). Bump

Eureka 7 Psalms of Planets, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure(Everyone should atleast try it, it's one of the best), The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Fate/stay night, Fate/Zero, Fate/Unlimited Blade Works, ect. Most of the others were mentioned already, but I'd rather stay away from that type of mainstream.

Excel Saga, Gintama, Great Teacher Onizuka, Monster, Death Note, Darker Than Black, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Noein: Mou Hitori no Kimi e, The Record of Lodoss War (OVAS + TV), .hack // Sign + Root + all the damn saga because its awesome (included book + videogames :O), Hunter x Hunter (both versions are awesome, but the old one have a little filler), the Fate saga, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Sword Art Online..... hmmm and for the "incompleted" (the anime finished before the manga) Berserk, Full Metal Alchemist, Soul Eater, Gantz , D.Gray-Man. I know that i miss some great ones, i cant remember moar :(

I decided to take advantage of Crunchyrolls get a free LootCrate when you subscribe to the 30 day trial.
So now I have 30 days of premium animes and no clue what to watch.
I had a look at the most popular, the first being Naruto which I have 0 interest in.
The second was Food Wars. So I thought, eh why not only to discover this show started out with a girl orgasming over food and then being molested by a squid. Not my cup of tea. :s
It's been a while since I've watched anime so I'm really out of the loop.
Shows I remember enjoying: Mushishi, Nana, InuYasha, Cowboy Bebop, Azumanga Daioh, pretty much everything Ghibli. There's more but it really has been a while.
So anyone got any recommendations? It doesn't have to be anime, crunchyroll seems to have a bunch of other stuff.
