From what I see, more and more people who said "screw OVK" are returning and playing and giving Almir ammunition when he goes to strike another advertisement deal.
Personally, I think I'll be only returning for free drill achievements - hard to resist that chance to get free $200...

My thoughts exactly. I just played the game for them yesterday. Got the 2 drill + safes, but I have no intention to take part in this skin crap, so I won't open them.

I'll hate overkill with this payday microtransactions. But I'll never hate Payday 2 as a game.
You can't blame the good game because it shitty developer. The game is good, and the developer is not.
But, as a fan of the world of The Walking Dead ... I'm sure looking their next project.

I never liked the game and all the dlc made me puke even more. Every week I would see a new dlc being launched and staying on the top sellers of steam. Quite honestly, I think the people who bought each and every single dlc they released, week after week, got this coming (microtransactions).

Payday 2 was a fun game, but I couldn't enjoy it alone. Most players were... negative towards newer players like myself. And all the DLC weapons kind of made me like it less. I was considering buying it as a gift on a sale for some friends, but with the drills and everything happening... meh, I will just wait for Overwatch.

Nah, you have to complete "Au ticket" on FWB and "Pork Royale" on Slaughterhouse to get the promotional safes and drills. You can get only one safe+drill combo per achievement, and they are not tradable nor marketable.

The move to include these skins was bad, but I don't care AT ALL, boohoo he lied.....the whole world is full of liars, politicians are liars, developers are liars, YOU ARE LIARS and I am mad, but I'm not one of those internet haters.
The only "bad" thing about the Crimefest is the weapon re-balance and it's just because we're not used to it and tbh those events are what bring me back to Payday 2 every time.
The only problem I have with Payday is that there are lots of idiots who kick you right before the end of a heist....just because they can.

Yeah, the world is full of lies and liars, but while we expect nothing good from mega companies, it shouldn't be the case with smaller devs. I'm not mad at them, because they added micros, but to do so, they broke the balance of the weapons so you'll have to get stat boosted skins to make the weapons usable again. Fun fact: they not nerfed, but buffed the Annihilator build, one of the best shotgun DW builds in the game.
On a side note however, it's a problem, that most people didn't care about their lie, and accepted it as there was nothing to do. They might try to do this again with stat boosted skins for vests maybe.

Thanks for the giveaways. Fortunately I've had my fill of this game so I'm not to concerned about the micros-transactions. I'd probably still buy a Overkill game, but I'd be a bit more wary now.

I ALMOST get one for myself... fortunately I just realize that GOTY version was 2014 GOTY and doesn't include all dlc...
Then they came with those microtransactions crap and stuff... I just feel lucky to not buy it. Instead I got zombie army trilogy... :DDD

Okay, so I know that CrimeFest or ShameFest ended with a huge letdown, basically it was the swan song of PAYDAY 2 as we knew it. I don't have any intention to play it more than I need to collect those free drills + safes, but otherwise I'm done with the game. I wish the worst in Overkill's future investments, I mean who'd buy their Walking Dead game, knowing that they'll eventually add micros on top of the truckload of DLCs? And that StarVR? If Oculus Rift comes out, it will be the king. Anyway, I ran out of GA slots, so I had to postpone the last 3 days, but here they are! You will have one week for each.
