Not gonna break the mold, Internet access is more important to me than lack of other humans to annoy me. If my cabin had electricity and good Internet, I would gladly take the long trips into a village to buy bread.

+1 Although, I would simply make my own bread.

Good internet, and easy supermarket access. I hate forgetting milk and having to drive for an hour.
So "middle of nowhere" is more like "minutes from everywhere" for me please :)

Luckily I never had problems with my neighbors. They are good people. But I wouldn't mind living in the middle of nowhere as long as it has cold weather and it's close to a river, so I can go fishing 🎣

Lemme tell ya how much it would suck and rock:

  • You are alone with the nature, maybe you have a partner or children, maybe not.
  • Peaceful nature.
  • Robbers who come and rob your house and murder you in the middle of nowhere, with closest neighbours in 40km away.
  • Electricity and heat problems. You live far away, so once something happens to the electricity conductor you will most likely have to fix it yourself, cause nearest specialist will come either one-two, maybe even a week after the incident. Yourself fixing it have always a danger of dying, cause you're no specialist.
  • Like any other own house, something breaks, you fix it. It's okay when you're young, but when you're 50+ it's not as easy and fun.
  • Groceries. You will either have to be a farmer, or you'll have to do some sort of job, which requires you to spend a lot of time outside home just to get money for food, so no time for play games or just browse funny cat videos on the Internet.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I've lived in big cities all my life so maybe I'm just too industrial-minded for living like that Siberian couple who were found 50 years after WW2 ended and they had no clue it ended already. But they somehow survived, so can you! Just do it!

Neighbours can suck (had my share), but they can also be nice and helpful. Depends on the neighbour. But I do like the people at work, the reasonably short commute, having a school nearby where my kids go, and all the other amenities of living in a community. Wouldn't want to live in the middle of nowhere.

No. No matter how loud the sexy girl next door is during their ... eh, "adult nighttime activities".

I'd rather live in a city since it would be easier to buy things.
