The refund email I got said you have to wait up to 7 days. It hasn't been 7 days since I got that email, so still waiting.

When going through the refund process, it will default to "Refund to Steam Wallet" on the final page. When you see this, open the drop-down menu and see if you have the option to change it to Visa. A friend of mine paid for a game using PayPal and when she went through the refund process it offered PayPal as a refund. I don't know about using both wallet and another method, so give it a try.

I've waited one or two days at the start of program, right now Summer Sale is live so maybe it takes a bit longer.
Anyway, after successful refund your refunded money will be "frozen" on your account by 7 days and after that time you will gain access to it.

Well, that's crap... the reason from their list is "the product is now cheaper", of course I want to buy it again. Now I have to buy it again with my VISA and the refunded money will go to my wallet, so basically I will have 30 euro stuck in my wallet the next week...

I wasn't precise probably: I used "steam wallet money" to buy crappy game and my refund went back there.
Dunno how it works when you paid with "real money" from Visa or Pay Pal, can't say anything about this.
If you found -75% discount right now so there is 99% that this price will back later or at the very end of the sale.
@madjoki
thx for info, now everything is clear I think.

Yes, if you paid with credit card/paypal you can select to get back to credit card.

I had the refund to visa option but I bought with both CC and wallet and I wasn't sure how it will work + I thought that it will be faster if they refund to my wallet, but after reading this thread I thought that I should cancel the refund operation and select visa only if it takes so much time. Unfortunately, they already refunded my product and now I have the money on "pending balance" here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/ .

My girlfriend had the same case with The Witcher 2. She asked for a refund, received it within 2 days.

For paypal refund, i got my money back the same day, the wallet refund took a couple of days, even though it was accepted the same day

I haven't used the refund feature yet and just tried it. I bought a game and a separate DLC. I didn't look very close and now I realize the DLC I bought was a soundtrack. When I tried to get a refund for it, there wasn't an option. Maybe there's no refund for soundtrack DLC or maybe I have to wait 14 days... wasn't clear on the wording. It is a bit vague, or maybe I am vague... pretty sleepy at the moment :)
"DLC purchased from the Steam store is refundable within fourteen days of purchase" so it's 'within' not 'after'... It's in my gift inventory.. hasn't been unpacked... I guess must not be refundable. I just need to be more careful next time...

Yeah, certain things that can't be removed from your account are non-refundable. I would imagine a soundtrack qualifies, since you could just keep the MP3 files (assuming it's distributed like that). Others would be DLC that registers to an outside account such as expansions for an MMO.

I used it yesterday and got my refund within 90 minutes approved.
I bought "How to Survive - Storm Edition" the day before, when it was 1,89€... and yesterday the price went down even further. So I opend a ticket for the refund and, to my eternal surprise, got it answered/solved really quickly.

Asked for a refund for wrongly bought game version, take 2 hours to get the refund approved, and 1 day+ the money still not yet refunded.

How much does it take to get a refund? I just bought leadwerks which was 66% yesterday, and now is 75% - the difference is about 10 euro. I asked for a refund for "it is now cheaper" reason, but now I wonder how much do I have to wait to recieve the money.
PS: I got the money in the wallet now: it took one hour to approve the ticket and 3 days to get the money back in the wallet.
