I added the winner of my forge giveaway so I can gift him the game but he removes me from friendlist without typing anything?
What should I do?

Try again. If he does reject the friend request or removes you from friendlist again contact him via E-Mail.

Personally if it happens again, I'd simply get it re-rolled. Once might be an accident, but twice is just rude :)

can you leave a post on the account or do they have the disabled?

he probably doesnt realize he has won yet.. and thinks you are some stalkerish randomer trying to friend him... he'll quickly accept when he realizes that you are gifting him a game.. at least thats what happened me :)

^ wrong, never email the game on the first email, that is a big mistake i see lots of ppl make, email him saying like " hi did you know you won my game" and wait for a reply. no reply happens get a reroll.

if you just gift the game then he doesnt reply or mark as received, and u reroll and the key is duped. your getting banned if you cant prove it to steamgift staff

Me too. Just send him an e-mail and if he doesn't answer in seven days ask for a re-roll.

Just email it. Some people don't trust random strangers on the internet giving free stuff and trying to be nice to them.

probably has no idea who you are and just thought you were some random lol.
has he been back to the site since he won?

If you want to make sure he knows you could try sending an email saying you'll friend him or something if you want to do it that way :P

If you previously said in the description of the giveaway that you would gift the game to the winner through Steam, then it's time for a re-roll... Believe me, I'be been there. Gifters shouldn't have so much trouble.

after 29 minutes? Isn't there some mandatory waiting thing of like a week?

Yes. 7 days, as a support staff who replied to my ticket about an unresponsive winner said.

The time period to deliver is 7 days. If it has been days trying to contact the winner, is understandable, but minutes... I guess he should wait and try again.

Even "joke" begging like this often leads to some wild suspensionhammer-on-poster action.

Don't do it, kids...

You might want to send it via email instead or at least send an email to let them know they won and to please accept your request so you can give it. They probably didn't check SG to see if they won a giveaway and have had random requests that led to attempted scams or phishing attempts. I know I sure don't accept anyone unless I'm aware a request will be made or without checking SG first to see if I had won a giveaway.

but not just the key, send a email requiring a response and then reply to that response with a key.

otherwise you don't know if it was spamfiltered or traded or what.

also I think it helps to keep "contest" and "winner" out of the title or something, not 100% on how those filters work lol

Yeah, probably like me, gets heaps of randoms adding him for his TF2 or inventory items and just declined it, I'm sure if he knew, he would accept.

Just e-mail him to add the game. I have a ton of friends on my Steam account and typically go through removing people I don't know just to keep my list somewhat manageable.

Do not email him the game. That's all you need is for him to use the key/gift and then try to claim you never contacted him.

If you can post on his Steam "wall," leave him a message there. If you cannot, wait for a few days. If he wants the game, he will contact you and then you can complain about him deleting you. If he doesn't respond after seven days, re-roll and give it to someone who will actually appreciate it.

I think I'll close this thread as it may turn out to be calling out at the end of seven days.

Like all the other users said, try to contact the winner again, by messaging him over Steam and by sending him an e-mail. If you don't receive a response in a week, contact support.
