Wait... Aren't these from your friends list?
...Crap, I guess I saw lots of tombstones from people I know in that game, then.

One of my friends died in the beginning and he told me where exactly that happened, I went there and his tombstone wasn't there.

Well, once I was playing co-op with my friend. We kinda made stupid mistake (we were both to stubborn to decide where to go :P) and we died. Next day, when I was playing solo I found both graves :P Some time later I found his grave on that lava island (well, you know what I mean, right? :P). And expect that, few others, from people that wasn't on my friendlist.
Pretty cool thing if you ask me. HTS have many cool ideas, but still, it feels like something is missing. Problem I had with this game was the lack of replayability (did I wrote it right? ;P) Aftear beating it two times in campaign (or three, I don't remember) I really don't see any features that would drag me back to this game. It's cool but, oh well, it's just cool.

I didn't went that far yet.. only been on three islands.
I had overheating problem and the notebook kept shutting down for protection after some gaming. Which is funny, since you said the game is cool. =P
Now that I've cleaned it I'll continue from where I left. (after this week of me vs. the backlog)
I've been interested in it since the first video I've seen, finally grabbed this summer. Been curious to try that third person version but reviews are not that positive :\
Did you replay changing character and/or other thing? Did the experience changed significantly?

Well, game itself is very fun to play, but I don't really see anything else to do there. Maybe it's just me, but there are few things that make game replayable in my eyes (for example - great story, possibilities for different approach, choices that, even slightly, change the game) and HTS don't have them. I tried to play it a little again with other character but AFAIR it comes down to some unimportant details that doesn't really matter in the later part of the game.
Well, to be fair, I have to say that there might be something to make me replay this in future - I didn't explored all islands (I think). It just wasn't necessary to do, and we didn't felt like swimming to other island when we were able to finish the game. Keep in mind that I completed it in co-op mode.
As for TPP version, I think you shouldn't look at reviews. They don't review the game, they review the massive butthurt of players. AFAIK it only change the camera angle. It do what it is suppose to do, and judging by that, it should have positive reviews, but people went angry because they thought they should be somehow granted this mode if they already own 'basic' version. It will sound harsh but it comes down to users stupidity and feeling to entitled. It is similliar with Early Access games - you have warnings, you have information that you are buying game in it's current state, and if you don't like it - don't buy it. Yet, people throw their money at EA titles to whine when something go wrong :P

Oh, I thought that choosing a different character would have changed the game experience. Well, seems like I'll finish it sooner than expected =P
I don't know how you're used to play but I guess it could be boring to play it alone after you had co-op. It's kinda like you both were there and then (s)he has been caught by the zombies..
jokes aside, co-op is totally different from single player approach, perhaps mostly because not everything is under your command, so you could enjoy it.. I mean, I like to play single games, more than multiplayer ones I think (too chaotic), but I really enjoyed those rare times I co-op-ed :)
Well, I find the concept interesting but if even the story is the same I'll think thrice before buying it.. I read only some of them back when the game was published but if I recall correcly the major issue people had was the absence of multiplayer..

I still think you should try if you want. Maybe you will find some differences that I overlooked. Still, the story basically remains same.
Single player is generally better IMO. Some games are meant to be co-op, and that's fine too. I enjoyed few titles like that. As for H2S I think it's cool in both ways. Co-op was fun, but it had some flaws that make it unplayable if you are't playing with a friend but some random person.
Honestly, I don't even really remeber right now. I think it might be worth to try on some major discount.

You only see your friends tombstones and I disable that feature because there were A LOT of tombstones ...

Are you sure? Because I've seen way too many tombstones compared to my friendlist (and not everyone of them have the game), with names never seen before.
Could it be they add random tombstones?
Is that a feature one can disable? Really? I must have missed it then..

its part of the game i guess like in state of decay ^^

I know, and I like it :)
it's just that I'd liked it a bit slower.. to enjoy the game more! There are times when I can play in short sessions, and I feel like I've only wasted time if the only thing I did was wander around looking for food, or going back to where I was when I started playing because my character was feeling sleepy, again.

eh, I found some interesting names too :) That's why I wondered if they were user names or placed there by the devs.
Truth is, Silli's one was one the first I found in the game (perhaps the first one), and I was like - Ooh, look, a tombstone! cool! :D ..and because I found a known name on it I started reading all the others too..

Yup! There are some areas full of tombstones indeed! A nice feature :) (seems like it can be disabled)
I still have to find one who saw a tombstone of someone (s)he knows but it's not on their friendlist. That's why I posted here, seems the best place to ask =P

I need to start playing that again. Maybe someone will find mine. > _<

It's in my considerable backlog of games to play :-) (Currently have about 570 games in my backlog).

I have seen alot of gravestones with names of people I don't know, but have never found one of somebody on my friends list. Maybe is also checks what groups you are in?

If you do, you may have noticed there are a lot of tombstones here and there. You may also have noticed they have other players names written onto them. At first I thought it was some kind of Kickstarter rewards but after finding my own tombstone where I was killed, I deduced they were not.
I was wondering how they choose which ones you see when playing (I don't think they keep all of them), and I started reading all of the names, searching for someone I knew (past because they were killed) =P
The only one I found (twice) up to now is Sillibird (see image below) but if you are dead you can tell me and I'll try to find your tombstone and pay you the respect you deserve :)
Oh, you could also find mines, there's davOdo written on them.
